I loved this book!,

This review is from: JLA: The Obsidian Age, Book Two (Paperback)
This graphic novel rounds out the two book series covering the Justice League of America adventure: The Obsidian Age. Picking up where book one left off (and covering JLA issues #72-76), the Justice League finds out what has become of Aquaman and Atlantis. Simultaneously facing the same threat in both the Obsidian Age and in the present, the League meets its greatest threat in a murderous magic. Will the Justice League survive? No...and yes. It is a time of change - a time of losing and gaining, and losing some more. This is another excellent DC graphic novel. The illustrations were very good, and often excellent, while the story was absolutely gripping. I loved the new characters, including the ancient heroes of the Obsidian Age (though I wish there had been more time for character development), and all of the great adventure! I loved this book, and highly recommend it to you.

Better than part 1,
This review is from: JLA: The Obsidian Age, Book Two (Paperback)
This is the second part of a two part story. You really hae to get the first book to read the full story and they should be treated as one story. Being a Nightwing fan, I liked his characterization in this book and he appeared more than in the first book. I especially liked his interplay with Batman. In part 1, The JLA goes back in time to find out what happened to Aquaman and Atlantis. And, to find out why they were attacked by people from the past. In the meantime, Batman has put into play his plan in case the JLA is dead. An alternate JLA lead by Nightwing. Some new characters and old are used. Together the mystery has to be solved and the world saved. Though I don't like time travel stories, this one is fine. There was not a lot of play with alternate timelines like other stories use. It could almost be treated like just taking place on two different worlds instead of different times. Besides the main characters expected, there are a lot more use of magicians. I really enjoyed the use of Jason Blood in this story. Unlike the prior graphic novel, I did not find any major flaws in this book. It was a good story and should be read by any JLA or Nightwing fan.

Wow... simply wow!!!. This book is the S#!!!!T. I really liked book 1, but this one I loved it. Gotta admit is not perfect though. Is a little confusing before the climax, but it's TOTALLY worth it. Kyle Ridner is a helluva Green Lantern. I have more respect for him now more than ever.I hate giving spoilers, so that's why I'm just saying in my very personal opinion that this is (for me) one of the most amazing and exiting JLA stories ever writen. Just give you a chance and read book 1 and 2. You won't regret it.
