Now you can take advantage of increased flexibility when performing your leveling tasks! The detector alone increases your working range from 100 feet to almost 400 feet! The unit itself is a multi-functional laser instrument that combines a rotating laser with a vertical line (can be used as a cross-line) and plumb beam. Projected from a rotating head, the beam (1/4" at 100 feet accuracy) can be switched between a point, a vertical line, or a horizontal line. Designed for an entry-level user who demands quality and accuracy, this tool also features manual slope, built-in mounting bracket with 5/8"¿11 thread, variable electronic speeds and a range scan that provides two chalkline widths or a single point. I used this for a construction project on which I was superintendent. It isn't a long range instrument, but over shorter distances, it is bulletproof, easy to use, easy to set up. I had no trouble teaching laborers how to use it quickly and effectively. The vertical plane feature is excellent - allowed very accurate spotting of weld locations for pipe tie-ins in overhead racks. There are better instruments out there, but they cost a lot more and while this one feels "plasticy" it is really surprisingly durable and gets the job done even after being thrown around in the equipment trailer.
