Dense with information,
This review is from: JOLT Challenge - The Self Intelligence Experience (Paperback)
This book is a fantastic read! It's dense with well-researched and evidence-based information, with plenty of inspiring Eastern philosophy thrown in for good measure. The book is extremely well organised - I particularly appreciated the mind maps for each section.
My impression was that the book was written initially as a companion to the Jolt Challenge Self Intelligence Experience. This self-intelligence journey is presented in a Week 1, Day 1 through to Week 9, Day 5 layout. If, like me, the experiential learning program is not yet available in your city, I would recommend reading the book one day at a time. I found this was the best way to simulate the experience and get the most out of the book. The book has a mighty aim and I felt that, when given the effort and attention required, it delivers. This 5-star review has one condition, and that is for any potential reader to consider the Jolt Philosophy of "the learning is in the doing." The value of the book for me was not in reading it, but in taking action based on the information that it contains.

A Different Kind of "Self-Help" Book,
By
This review is from: JOLT Challenge - The Self Intelligence Experience (Paperback)
I tend to be suspicious of self-help books in general, but I'm glad to say that Jolt Challenge is quite different. Fist, it doesn't take itself so seriously. The authors even include a George Carlin quote, "If you're looking for self-help, why would you read a book written by someone else? That's not self-help, that's help."
The book presents a comprehensive approach to "self-help" that ranges from how the "emotional" brain works, why physical needs (water, nutrition, sleep) matter, the importance of clear intention, role models, and the list goes on. I love how user-friendly this book is. Lots of solid content punctuated by great quotes (like the Carlin one above), cartoons and other graphics, sidebar things to think about.

This review is from: JOLT Challenge - The Self Intelligence Experience (Paperback)
This is a good synthesis of alot of other books on personal development, put together in a logical user friendly manner. Nothing too ground breaking, unless of course this is your first dabble in this feild then this book would be sensational.
A solid performer. I will pass my copy on as I know others would benefit from it greatly! As is always the case personal development is best done and not read about, the course these guys put together I can only imagine would be sensational. a good read

Highly Recommend,
This review is from: JOLT Challenge - The Self Intelligence Experience (Paperback)
This book is a wonderful place to start if you are wanting to stimulate change or growth in your life. It's recommended by Stephen Covey which is a great endorsement in itself. Steve and Wade have created an approachable and non-preachy book that guides you through positive changes you can implement in your life. So how is it different to every other self-help book that you have picked up before? I love that this is a step-by-step, day-by-day approach that is not overwhelming. The book steers you through small, incremental changes (and check-in's) you can make over time. It's practical, easy to follow and implement, and doesn't take itself too seriously. I highly recommend this for anyone who is struggling with stress, feeling stuck, or just wanting to raise their game.
