These balls bounce normally and last as long as good quality 3-star balls. In fact, I got some 3-star balls from Halex and they simply could not compare to these Joola training balls. The 6 Halex balls all broke in about 3 weeks, while I've only lost 6 of these Joola balls in about 6 months! Actually, most of the ones I lost were literally lost, as only 2 actually broke, while the Halex 3-star balls which cost twice as much never lasted long enough for me to lose them.
EDIT: Now it's been many more months that I've been using these balls(I've had at least 2 batches of the white ones and 1 of the orange ones, all ordered at different times). I've been using these balls for training quite often, while using various brands of 3-star balls(DHS, Nittaku, Butterfly, Gambler, etc.) for playing and also sometimes for training. In comparison, the durability of these balls are outstanding, comparable to your average 3-star balls. However, there's one important thing to note: the orange balls are significantly heavier and faster than the white ones. Compared to the 3-star balls, which are pretty similar to each other, the white ones are a bit lighter and slower while the orange ones are a bit heavier and faster, so the differences between the white ones and the orange ones are very noticeable if you've played quite a bit of table tennis. For training purposes, I prefer using the white ones. While the orange ones feel better(probably why they're priced a bit higher), the white ones are more difficult to play with, so if I can hit the white balls well in training, then I can hit 3-star balls in matches even better!

well, I expected these ping pon balls to be better in quality. One was cracked, and a coupe were somewhat misshapen. The others were good.

These are great balls for the kids to practice with. I try to shy away from the expensive ones because they end up getting smashed up and cracked in our garage/toy room. The kids are not nice on them sometimes they smack them open for fun to hear the pop.

These balls are of solid construction. If you are into slamming and hard hitting, each ball could last for 2-3 weeks. I have had 2 set of 12-packs from Amazon. Yes there was one odd ball that wobbled - not of even construction - but apart from that I have had a good playing experience with these ball. Orange color also stands out on light colored walls. Please don't waste time and money buying Halex.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these balls. They are as good as most 3-star balls.
They are quite fast through the air too. I would definitely recommend this to any beginner-intermediate skilled player.

Never knew there were different speeds for ping pong balls....now we know! These are great for novice players. Seriously. Guess there is less "bounce" thus reducing the speed??? Whatever, we are having fun, and they came within a day or two.

I like that the ping pong balls are orange. It is easier to find when someone misses a shot.

We bought these for their bright color. We didn't use them for ping pong, but hung them in the garage for accurate placement of the car when backing in and parking. The bright orange is very helpful, even on dark, wet nights.
