I first seen this curling iron at the mall for $169! I thought it was neat but couldn't afford paying that much. To my delight I found it on Amazon for $37. Sweet. My daughter and I have super fine hair and anytime we curl our hair the curls fall out within minutes. Not with this curling iron... the curls stay all day. There are different ways you can use this to create different looks and it takes a bit of getting used to not having the clamp thingy but this is for sure a great tool!

Great curling iron!. I have straight, straight waist length hair, this iron curls my hair and it stays for 2 days. I don't use it all the time as I am concerned about the affects of heat on my hair (It has only one heat setting), and you have to be careful the first few times you use it or you will burn yourself...I have scars to prove it. It comes with one heat resistant glove to wear on the hand your use to wrap the hair around the shaft.....you have to hold the hair in place a couple of seconds, all the way to the tip of the iron in order to have even curls. I find the glove awkward to use. I bought a friend one for her birthday and she loves it tooo!

I don't know if this is the same as the ones you can find in the mall, but it does do a beautiful job curling. The curling iron gets REALLY hot, which there are some that don't, so you have to be very careful. And I don't think the curls stay in quite as long (I have very thin fine hair), but overall, for the price this works great!
