4.0 out of 5 stars Great Ideas!
This magazine is really about three guys; Trasborg, Hazel, and Cappa (Don't forget about Randy's Electrical Corner and the good Doctor's) and their obsession with everything Jeep. Their knowledge of all models is vast. They do throw in the various weird metaphors on things and they are often very funny. This magazine is mainly for the Jeep owner that enjoys (loves and...

3.0 out of 5 stars good info, bad writing
I've read this mag a couple times, and found some useful info. It's unfortunate that it's necessary to get past the cliched writing and ridiculous metaphors in the articles before getting to the meat. A good editor could make this into a magazine I'd subscribe to.

This magazine is mainly for the Jeep owner that enjoys (loves and dreams about it) working on Jeeps and fabricating parts. Not for the guy that just decides that he wants an "unlimited", well just because he always wanted a Jeep and thinks by taking the doors off he's suddenly a Jeep enthusiast with a safari hat. The articles are detailed enough for the experienced Jeeper/mechanic to understand what is going on. The subscription is cheap, but if you're new to auto repair and driving a Jeep; you should probably just read a Haynes or Chilton's and play around before getting a subscription. These guys do great reviews on new products and they keep in mind cost and the fact that the average reader is probably middle class with a family. I have gotten a lot of great repair and fab ideas from the magazine. I will probably be a lifetime subscriber. Check out the website to see if you like it.
