Super heavy .22 pellet and pretty darn accurate!

You have to try different pellets (get a sampler) to find what works best in your pellet guns.

I have tried just about every pellet ever made and none come close to comparing to these pellets. All of the JSB pellets are extremely well made and all of their pellets are accurate. However, the Match Jumbo's are the best pellets I have ever used, period!

I purchased them looking for more knock down power, not expecting them to be as accurate as they are. These pellets group well within a dime sized circle every time, at around 40 - 50 feet out. Most of them hit in the exact same spot. I shot around 30 of them after sighting in the scope and never had one hit outside of the dime sized center. They tore the entire center of the target out and we were shooting freehand on a pillow.

They may cost a little more, but they're certainly worth the extra stew! Spend the extra and enjoy the quality and accuracy.

Most .22 cal pellets are 16 to 18 grains in weight, and are perfectly capable of taking down small to medium game out to 30 yards. These are 25 grains, and they make quite a mess out of vermin from squirrel size to coyote sized. Fired through a rifle at 900 fps such as the Beeman or Crossman these pellets will slice clean through a 2X4.

I have been using these in a Steriod upgraded Benjamin 392. These shoot with resonable accuracy, comparable to Eun Jin and Big Boy Preditor pellets and are one of the hardest hitting in my gun. The reason I rated it 5 stars is that they and the H&N Barracuda Match are the most accurate 20+ grain pellets I have tried so far but these hit a bit harder.

JSB does get it right with these massive pellets.

They arrived meticulously packed and packaged and so far out of 3 cans only three rejects for defect. A .5% failure rate is nothing to sneeze at.

They perform best out of my Discovery pumped up to 150 BAR. They don't go very fast but they also don't slow down very fast and are capable I'm sure of being held closer than the 1½-2" groups I get at 55 yards. At that range they also more often than not blow completely through the ¼" particle board behind the targets. I have not tried them on game but evidence suggests that this pellet is reasonable to use on any small game commonly taken by hi-powered airguns at extended ranges up to 110 yards (any further than this the rainbow-like trajectory makes hitting more of an algebraic exercise than I care to address).

Seriously this is a pellet who's full potential requires a long barrel topped with a decent scope and lots and lots of air. Watching one dribble out of my 2240 pistol on Co2 is amusing. Because of their weight they are also most resistant to windage although I have not yet tested this in anything more than a gentle gusting breeze.

Currently testing other pellets in the Discovery but this is my favorite heavyweight .22 pellet so far.

These pellets are great, as everyone else has mentioned. I am shooting this in my Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk Air Rifle air rifle and they are great IF you get a good pellet.

You will find that nearly HALF OF THE PELLETS are deformed/bent at the skirt. Don't bother shooting these pellets. They veer off target several inches at only 10 yards. It's a shame that so many pellets are not in good shape, as it makes them much more expensive. I am very disappointed when I discovered this.

I have found the CROSMAN 22CAL DESTROYER PELLET 175 are FAR superior, and I would recommend them instead.

Otherwise, if you don't jam the pellet all the way into the barrel, but rather just push it in until it has slight resistance and allows the skirt of the pellet to stick out a little, the rifle is a LOT quieter and a LOT more accurate.

These pellets are great. They do need a powerful rifle to perform. They are accurate and deliver serious punch (knockdown) and penetration. But then again they need power. A PCP rifle at 3.000 psi ore higher if possible, it's what it takes to make them excell. Under 2200 psi they are sluggish and loose precision. I did compare about 12 brands, shapes and weights on over more than 30 shots of each to make a choice. And definely these are the ones that I recomend, given that they do have the power to back them. I have made some truly amazing shots and for killing small vermin at long distances I do prefer these to a .22 rimfire. If you are using a handgun then you should pick the hevy pellet instead of the monster version. It performs better.

Pellets are JUMBO and they do fit all my .22 air rifles, but this order in particular was dented on the outside and all the pellets skirting were no longer true round and several were badly damaged from shipping. I will order more and see if the second round of pellets is the same. Until then, these are heavy and do fire reliably.

My Crosman Nitro rifle .22 is terrific and with these it really packs a wollup! (sp?) However my tin of Gamo Magnum pellets are for less then 20 feet as they are all 'flyers' even at that range!

You have to try different pellets (get a sampler) to find what works best in your pellet guns. Firearms have the same issue. My .270 loves Federal 150gr but not Winchesters.

Also, some have complained that the pellets didn't fit. Really? These are great quality and that's the difference between these and average pellets. AND because they are longer they have more surface contact with the barrel which may explain the snug fit. Snug is good. But loose is no good, bad for gun and accuracy.

B.
