5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome with the right bait, November 2, 2010
This review is from: JT Eaton 444 Stick A Fly Trap (Lawn & Patio)
I've used this trap a couple of times over the years with remarkable success every time when dealing with fruit fly infestations. A few years ago I was in the Marine Corps and living in the barracks, and my barracks room developed a serious fruit fly problem, I'm talking clouds of tiny flies buzzing around the room. I bought two of these traps and set them out. After a day there weren't many trapped flies. Then I considered that the included bait might not be getting the job done. What I did was to lay the trap down so that the slotted plastic backing was facing down and the tube was horizontal. I then ate a banana and placed chunks of the peel underneath the tube on the slotted backing. Within 5 hours I had possibly 50 flies stuck to the tube. The tube was COMPLETELY covered in flies within 2 days. About two weeks ago I noticed a lot of fruit flies buzzing around my kitchen trash, so I go the same trap and used the same banana peel bait. I experienced the same results, tons of flies stuck to the tube overnight as a result of the banana peel, and my fruit fly problem is gone. If you buy this trap, don't even bother with the included bait. Just get a bunch of bananas and make your fly problem go away.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sex Fly Attraction Granules don't attract, December 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: JT Eaton 444 Stick A Fly Trap (Lawn & Patio)
This would be a great product if it actually worked. The traps are very sticky, but it's getting the fly to actually land on it that's the problem. They don't just randomly land on the traps you have to attract them somehow. I thought about spraying some juice on it or something maybe that will work.
