Great add on for a JT mask,
By Roguen "El Gran Roguismo" (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews I love this little fan system and unlike the other review I read I felt that it made an incredible difference. I have an older JT Proteus mask with a thermal lens. By itself it doe alright. But in certain weather conditions or when I'm doing a lot of heavy breathing it can fog up pretty good. When that happens I turn this fan on for a little bit and it clears right up. The switch is easy to access, just a little joystick sticking out of the visor that can be flipped without hunting around for it all day. Yes it's noisy, but it's mostly in the mask and yes, it could impair your hearing others. That's why I give it a 4 out of 5. On the other hand, I don't keep it running all day long, I just turn it on between sessions and in the game if I really need to. A great little product, easy to clean and well packaged unlike the one I tried to make myself from small computer fans and a 9 volt. Puts the air right where you want it, and you can feel the difference when it's turned on. I've tried it on several JT masks and found it fit them all well.

It isn't full blown ventilation system, but it does its job.,

Before you buy this, understand that its job is not to keep you cool while you are wearing the mask. I have a double lens mask, so it doesn't fog up much. When it does though, a few quick seconds with this will resolve the issue. I wouldn't recommend this for people who only play speedball and have to be moving constantly. This is geared towards those who play longer games and can afford to stop behind some cover for a few seconds to turn this on, let it run, and turn it back off.The mask I bought makes it a little difficult to get to the little switch at first, but you get used to it and its no big deal. Sure it has a little motor. That's because it isn't supposed to keep you cool. Its job is to keep your mask clear, and it does it well. I would buy it again if the need came up. Hope this helps.

Fine but Noisy,

It works fine. I need anti-fog a lot and this helps but doesn't solve the issue completely. If I run then stop & camp, I will start to fog.
The main issue I have is it is so noisy. I use this mask & fan at night, which is when you need to use your ears. The fan buzzing makes that hard. Overall, it is a good item, though I would suggest to get a thermal lens instead.

This is a good buy if you have fog issues. Living in Florida I have had my fair share. This fan does help with the issue. I have a tippman mask, it fits on it decently but it rubbs on my forehead at times. Not to big that of a deal I can buy a new JT mask for 20-40 bucks or buy a pice of cloth to put around it. yes its loud but that because its right by your head. If the enemy can hear it then you have bigger issues on your hands. I would recomend this mask but make sure you have a JT mask.

Excellent !!!,

This is the best option to avoid lens foging for JT full cover mask, it is a little bit noisy but it is worthy.

Great Fan!,

After reading the previous reviews, I was skeptical about the capabilities of this fan. Once using the fan, all doubts were gone. This fan does a great job in keeping fog out of your mask. I played in the rain for hours, no fog. I playing in 90 degree weather, no fog. There were concerns on the noise this fan makes when turned on in the previous reviews... Not a bad enough problem to cause doubts; If someone hears you during gameplay, then they close enough for you to touch them! If you are in the market for a fan, this is your product. Dont think twice, great fan period.

Great fan and keeps the fog off. It is a little loud when you are in the forest trying to listen for the other team but other than that it does the job perfectly.

When this is on it is somewhat loud.
If you rely on you stealth attacks in paintball, dont expect them to not hear you coming!

I ordered my item, it was shipped and received about a week later (I did standard ground shipping). No hassle, no worry. The item was well packed and working great on arrival. A very good shopping experience!

Functional but not enough to make a real difference,
The JT Elite Spectra Proeus Vortex 2 Paintball Fan works, but does not move enough air to really make a diffirence. I used the fan and my goggles still fogged the same as they do without the fan. Another unfortunate side effect is the noise produced by the fan. While it is relatively quiet from a distance, the noise does interfere with your ability to hear opponent movement. Overall, it was a good concept but lacks functionality.
