poor microphone,

The big buttons, and especially the three one touch programmable buttons for storing numbers and placing calls (most phone require the user to use at least two different buttons to place calls) were great for my seeing challenged parents use. The major problem is the microphone apparently has a very short range, so it is often difficult to hear them on the other end of the line.

We purchased this phone so that we could have an inexpensive, corded, speakerphone for use at home during business calls. We got what we paid for. The "speakerphone" does work, but once you take it off of speakerphone during a call, you cannot go back. So, in effect, it is useless. If you're looking for a cheap corded phone, this will work. But, if you're looking for a cheap speakerphone, this is NOT the phone for you!
