Bought it a few days (thought not from Amazon) and have had a chance to play with it, trying out all the features. I find it's a great camcorder for a good value. I particularly found the zoom ridiculously powerful, much more so in fact than my stand-alone binoculars. I think this is about as good a non-digital camcorder as one can get, at a lower price than most. The only exception is that the "super" non-digital formats, such as Super VHS and Super 8, will give you a better picture, though for a higher price. Keep in mind this is the virtually the only thing the higher price is buying you. This camera will be of commensurate quality in other features. I know because I compared extensively with other models in the store. The decision to buy this camera really depends on how much you value picture quality as part of the whole package. For me and I suppose for most people, normal VHS is more than adequate, especially when supplemented by a wide range of useful features and ergonomic ease. I think this camera meets that test. Finally, this camera comes with the obvious advantage that you can play the tapes in any ordinary VHS VCR, unlike Super VHS and 8mm.

This camcorder is a great choice if you're looking for multiple digital features, time lapse recording (great accessory), and plenty of digital wipes and fades. The battery that comes with the camera charges pretty fast at about 1 hour 30 minutes, but you have to have the battery attached to the camera to charge it, which could be a hassle if you decide to buy more than one battery. The LCD screen has great picture, but in daylight it is hard to see. An exceptional price for such a versatile and fun camcorder.

This is a great camcorder. Very easy to use with many different features that are simple to use. Anyone can use this even if you are not very good with electronic items. It is wonderful that the tapes can be viewed in your vcr and the tape adapter is included. Wonderful price for all the features.

I bought this for my husband for christmas. We both found it very easy to use with great pictures. I couldn't afford a digital camcorder, so I went for the digital zoom. The digital zoom is amazing!!!! With a stable picture. The features are also fun.

I bought this camcorder two years ago and never used it until a few days ago and it fell apart the second I began recording! The lens fell right off! and there is nothing I can do to get it fixed I should have tested it when I bought it. I do not recomend this camcorder as it is very cheaply put together.

I purchased two of these cameras as gifts and in the "features" part of the description it indicates that the camera comes with a remote control. It evidently is an error because it does not have a remote and there is no mention of one on the packaging even though the instruction manual shows it as an included feature...

I bought this camcorder no one can fix it for me the cheapest place was asking for 300$ for fixxing it even it was small problem before u buy ur thing cheak who is the best for repair after sale

I was very disapointed with the quality of the picture. I compared it to my full sized VHS camcorder. I tried two different tapes, but neither of them were even close to the old camera in color or resolution. The features are really neat, but I am returning it. It is not worth the money even at the really low price. Very sad!!
