Broken camcorder,

I purchased this camcorder 10 mths ago to satisfy my video and still photography needs. It's great to only carry one camera, however still photos only turn out when taken outside in daylight. I made the mistake of not purchasing an extended warranty because now it's broken and a repair is likely to cost more than purchasing a new one. This is my fourth JVC camcorder in five years. Only the first one lasted more than one year, and that's because I purchased the 2 yr warranty and took it in for repairs three times. At the end of the 2 yrs, it had to be thrown out.
