I have the Bose QuietComfort 15's and these are better. The key to JVC headphones/earbuds is burn-in time, or basically warm-up stretching for the driver speakers after you open the box. You'll notice a significant difference after only one hour of burn-in time, and they continually get better and better the more you use them. I've read whining about recessed mids and highs on these, but all I know is that these don't distort at any volume, and I hear music more-fully with these than any other headphones I have tried. I even had a Bose stereo in my Z71 Chevy Tahoe, and for the first time since selling that car I don't miss the sound system from it. These have the same features as the JVC SZ2000 headphones with Real Sound Technology, only differing in the material housing of the ports and outer casing, but still delivering club-quality sound at a fraction of the cost. I can't possibly understand why anyone wouldn't consider these excellent headphones, but perhaps they need to spend $300 to feel like they bought quality. I directed my father to these after I had purchased the FX3X earbuds with the higher frequency response (25,000Hz) back in April, and these MR77X's sounded so awesome that I bought a pair for myself.I couldn't be happier with them because the quality is simply excellent and I can take them anywhere and not have to worry about damaging them like the QC 15's, or have to re-charge batteries and all that trouble for the overrated noise-cancellation feature. MR77X = 5 Star Product *****

These are not the greatest sounding headphones I have ever owned but the are good enough for what I use them for,

The bass drops are off the chart but the mids and highs are only ok. I also use these as my headset when I need hands free phone calls which is probably the most important thing for me. If your looking for the best sounding headphone you probably need to spend some more money, but if your on a budget then these might work for you.

Anyways like I said I was very disapointed in these cans at first they were pretty flat and just overall lacking in base, they are however loud, anyways I strapped em on a fiio e6 and these things are amazing they have as much base as the skullcandy crushers except this is real base so it comes off more powerful, if you're a bass head this is it. Pick up a fiio amp for 30/bucks and you'll have your favorite set of cans. Anyways something to note these leak tremendously and since they are so loud they will disturb people around you. Only flaw I can think of.

    An Honest Review.

I had my father purchase these headphones after I suggested them from my research. I had convinced him to buy a pair of over the ear headphones after I recieved and loved my Samson850 studio monitors headphones.

    TL:DR: Don't but these.

These headphones have bass. Not good bass however. The mids sound like ass coming from a studio monitor headphone, and the highs are unimpressive. I would honestly suggest returning these and saving up for a better headphone. There are many out there for the same price and cheaper.

Box/Accessories: Shipped in a nice sturdy box. No Accessories aside from the headphones themselves, an small guide, and a small piece of paper detailing the warranty policies. (1 star from box/accessories)

Build Quality: The reason this product got more than one star is mainly due to its build quality. The whole product is quite sturdy, and somewhat flexible. My initial impression was that these could be dropped a couple of times with no noticeable damage to the headphone. The headband is flexible and the ear cups feel to be firmly attached to the headband, despite the rotating cup feature. However, the product is somewhat heavy. If you plan on wearing these for an extending amount of time, you will feel the band irritate the top of your head. Which leads me to this products comfort. (1 star from build quality)

Comfort: I only wore them for about 5-10 minutes, but I could tell that these headphone and not suited for long listening sessions. The headband will irritate the top of your head even after short listening sessions. The ear cups are not very comfortable either. While they do swivel up and down for DJ use, they do not conform to the shape around the ears or the angle of the head very well.
