JVC in my opinion is one of the best .. but most under-rated companies. When I bought this headphone I really liked it .. but being a brand-name freak .. somehow wanted to convince myself that they are indeed so good. So I got a little more expensive sony and same priced panasonic headphones from the local circuitcity, ... heard same songs from each headphone .. again and again ... Bugged my wife until she (unwillingly) agreed to become a subject of my experiment.

Conclusion: Great sound .. better than more expensive Sony. Definitely better than panasonic (well, don't remember the exact model numbers .. but their prices were higher than JVC). The long cord and the nice pouch are definitely an added bonus.

Small issues... like the ear pads are almost non existent .. may feel a little hard for delicate ears. Also, the clip for ears may get a bit uncomfortable after long wear. Finally, the wrap-around band is not the usual wrap around! It sticks a little bit behind the head .. so you may not be able to lie down on a pillow comfortably and use the head-set ....

My husband and I love these headphones. We workout and do yard work with these headphones on and never have a problem. They are great for traveling because they fold up and easy to put in a carry-on bag.

Very rich sound with good base from a lightweight, compact (foldable), and inexpensive set of headphones! I have always had good experiences with JVC audio equipment!

After 5 years of heavy use(& abuse) I just had my pair of these short out. I replaced them a few days ago with some Sony $30 headphones, only to be excessively dissapointed by the sound quality. I am a huge customer of Sony in general(52" Bravia XB6, Vaio, PS3, PSP etc etc), but let's be honest here, their lower end headphones sound just awful for the price you pay.

I'm a huge audiophile, I've had $300 Bose headphones before, and you honestly cannot get better sound than these JVC headphones for under $60, and for $10 this is a real steal. I'm going to buy 4 pairs so I'm set for a very long time because these are ideal for working out, or just having a convenient pair of headphones, and with ZERO sacrifice to sound quality.

I've tried a lot of lower end headphone pairs aimed at convenience, and I'm pretty convinced that JVC is easily the best way to go, and this set in particular(I hate ear buds though).

BOTTOM LINE: This set is easily best in it's class. Everything else in the price range sounds like a tin can, but these have full quality bass & treble.

I love the sound of these headphones, and the design wraps well around your head. but the chord shorts out after a month. good if you dont ususally wear headphones. REALLY BAD if you use them daily. they dont last long.
