Very good sound quality.

The Sony buds are hard and they slip out of one ear a lot and have left the cartilage a bit sore.

These ear buds have one of the best sound qualities I have ever heard.

I am NOT a big headphones guy, I am very simple. These JVC earbud headphones have been a perfect fit for me. Very good quality at a very low price. (I bought my 3rd pair for only $3.00!) I have a Sony Walkman and I think this was a match made in heaven.

The sound quality is great, and even at a medium-to-high volume setting you pretty much can block out all background noise. The cord length is a perfect fit for me, not too long or too short. The earbuds are of the gummy type so they fit snug in my ear and stay there when I run or exercise.

If you are like me and want simple headphones at a VERY good price, look no further than these JVC ones!

It's hard to argue with under 10 bucks for a decent set of head phones. I bought these looking for a good pair of headphones to work out with. I have a set of Bose that I use normally, but for the price I paid for those I didn't want to be dragging them around the gym.

These headphones worked perfectly. They stay in my ears and deliver good quality sound. I like that the wire is adjustable (same as iPod headphones), as in you can change the length from where it splits into 2.
One thing these headphones don't offer is noise-cancelling. For my purposes, I wasn't really looking for that and almost prefer not to have it.

They do their job and they do it well, and I am happy with my purchase.

What surprises me with these buds is JVC usually puts out high quality electronic products for a reasonable price. These are not for use if you listen to music with a lot of bass and you like to have your volume up.

I bought these to replace the Sony "fashion earbuds" (product # MDR-E10LP) for when I sleep. The Sony buds are hard and they slip out of one ear a lot and have left the cartilage a bit sore. The JVC Gumy, on the other hand are softer and seem to fit better in the ear that has trouble keeping buds in but the quality of the sound on the Sony buds is greater.

The profile on the JVCs are a bit thicker but just like any new buds you try to sleep in, there's an adjustment period.

In order to get a 4 or 5 star review from me, JVC needs to look at what Sony is doing right and what the Gumy does offer for comfort and they will have a winning pair of buds. I can still use them for sleeping because a lot of what I do listen to for sleeping are environmental tracks (white noise, waves, babbling brook, etc.) but no other instrumental music. I am disappointed that a JVC product only warrants a 3 star. It's actually closer to 2 1/2 star because of the sound and limiting my ability to play other music at higher volume.

For daily use, however, I will stick to the Skull Candy INK'D. Superior in sound and quality to either the JVC or the Sony.

My wish is that one of the manufacturers would come out with decent buds that have: Comfort, high quality sound, some noise-cancelling and are comfortable enough to sleep in yet have the staying power to wear during the day while walking or doing household chores. Alas, I ask too much.

These eadbud headphones are very comfortable, have great sound and have a long cord. I use them with my Zune at work and even with at the lowest volume setting the music comes in clear.

I expected the earphone to be gummy and soft in the ear. They are not. The cord is the only gummy part. Also the cord makes too much noise when it rubs against clothing while running.

Straight out of the box, no sound at all coming out of the right ear phone. Because of the cheap price, it's not worth the trouble to return.

I'm very hard on earbuds and I've broken about twenty different models. Most typically I jank and pull them until the wire breaks inside the cord.

While these JVC Gumy buds don't last forever, they go longer than the others -- often much longer.

I've used more expensive ear buds and they don't sound any better on my portable players.

I own and appreciate high-end headphones but that's not what I want for listening while I exercise or do yard work. I want good and sturdy. These buds are perfect for that.

They are also cheap enough that you don't curse too loudly if you accidentally cut the cord with the garden shears.

I could not stand the Apple iPhone earbuds any longer...muddy mids, low bass, too much treble..made for talking, not for music..

So tried several brands of STUFF IN YOUR EAR models (In-Ear), all price ranges..they all went to my family as for me they ALL made the music sound muddied all over the ranges...I just can not wear this type of earbud for some reason (though to be fair, the SCOSCHE 655s were the best of the lot, and that included the expensive Apple In-Ears)..

So back to old-fashioned earbuds...

Sonys were OK, some too loose, others too much bass, all shorted out quickly...

Then I tried these...AMAZING!!

COMFORTABLE, VERY GOOD SOUND ACROSS THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM WHEN IN THE RIGHT POSITION FOR YOU EARS..

I listen to a lot of classical , and when the music is in 256kbps, these work amazingly well... THE MUSIC SOUNDS NATURAL!!

Try them, you will be surprised!
