Has very good sound quality.

Sound: Pros-Deep lows well into sub-bass region, very present mids, well extended highs but not sibilant at all, decent soundstage, good instrument separation.

I am not a big on-ear headphone fan, and I was wary of the resoundingly positive reviews for these cans. However, these headphones provide pleasant sound and great value for about $30. They are no match for high end headphones or iem's...for example in an unfair A/B comparison with Senn ie80's that cost 15x's the JVC's, the JVC's sound compressed and much less defined. Nonetheless, the JVC's have an an engaging bass, pleasant sound and sufficiently comfortable fit conducive for extended listening. These are perfect for situations where you'd rather not take or use your high end cans...i.e. the beach, stationary cycling, etc. They're efficient enough to use directly with portable music players.

In a word these sound great for the $38 sale price. Neat folding capability so they just slip easily into my work satchel. These sit on your ears and initially were uncomfortable after extended use. I tend to have them on for a few hours each day as it blocks out surrounding office noise while I concentrate on the task at hand. Noise isolation is fine but don't expect the same level as an IEM and for me that is fine as I can still hear the desk phone if it rings.

Although I have a access to some upper echelon headphones I am realising that I'm more of a mid-fi guy and these are a heap of fun. Just plug them into your iPhone or iPod and they sound fine without any additional amplification.

What could be better? They do get a little uncomfortable after extended periods of use but you do acclimate. A pouch would have been a nice inclusion - the highly reflective plastic finish is beginning to scuff. You can have them in black or white so bling factor is low.

What you get is a portable and easy to listen to headphone for cheap $'s. If you get them on sale, like I did, no need to baby them.

I researched many headphones before buying the JVC HAS400W Carbon Nanotube On-Ear Headband Headphones. I was looking for a reliable, great sounding, comfortable pair of headphones for school. These headphones do not disappoint. The sound is fantastic, the headphones are comfortable, and they look great. These headphones are an exception to the saying, "You get what you pay for". I feel these headphones out perform the price. Highly recommend these headphones for anyone looking for a cheap, great sounding, stylish cans.

Pros:
Cheap
Stylish
Great sounds (I listen to a broad range of music, country, rap, dubstep, rock, classic, etc.)
Comfortable
Compact (Foldable design)

Cons:
The bass won't appeal to bassheads

The reviews were fairly positive for this set of headphones so I decided to give them a chance. They were under $30 so I ordered them. As far as the sound goes, they have decent bass but I found them to be lacking in the vocals. Construction wise they are very noisy and creaky when you move or turn your head. The headband is hard plastic with foam pad cushions across the band. They fold up nicely making them easy to store in a backpack, etc. They cable is very short. So they might not be the best set for use at the gym or office. I purchased them as a cheap, spare set for the office. The pressure applied by the headband is pretty tight and after about 30 minutes my ears were killing me.

I would recommend these to those purchasing headphones for children to use on tablets or for those who are very hard on their headphones and replace them frequently.

For less money I would recommend the Sony ZX100s.

For around $30 after shipping (3-5 days) these headphones can't be beat. Carbon Nanotube is a new material that I haven't heard of until I came into contact with these headphones. It promises extreme clarity and it does not disappoint. Putting them on for the first time I was extremely impressed by the overall sound on all fronts, but the bass is not as prominent as my JVC Xtreme Xplosive earphones, but those are more geared towards bass anyways. Giving them even a little break-in time (around 2-3 hours) and the bass noticeably became more vivid, as did everything else; the overall sound quality just became more full. They are also comfortable, but if you wear glasses as I do, they might put a little pressure on the arms of the glasses, which can become a little tender after a while. However, I noticed the discomfort was just from wearing my glasses, and after taking them off I could listen for hours on end without any irritation. They are made of a durable plastic and do not feel fragile or cheap in any way. To sum it all up, for $30, these headphones are the best you can buy. Good balanced sound, and sounds nice and full (albeit a more mellow feel than my previous earphones) they definitely deliver. I'll go as far as even saying that they sound like they're more in the $100 range.

Buy them.

I did a lot of research into my purchase. The audio experts were praising these headphones.
I am no expert. If your reading this I can offer you an honest opinion from an average consumer.
The sound is fantastic, very bright and punchy, zero noticeable distortion. Deep deep bass.
I can say although these are missing any noise cancellation feature, its hardly noticeable its missing because the sound is twice as clear as my old $400 sonys.
