Great Sound, lousy cord, May 31, 2008
This review is from: JVC HAS900 On Ear Lightweight Headphones (Electronics)
I will keep this brief. Pros: ligthweight (4.1 ozs), earcups fold flat, balance sound (low, mids, highs), nice protective hard case. Cons: The cord; it is very thin and short (about 42 inches in length). The plug at the end looks and feels cheap. Just go easy on the cord, and I think there won't be any problems.

The portability is a pleasure, August 10, 2011
This review is from: JVC HAS900 On Ear Lightweight Headphones (Electronics)
what can you really say about headphones. I looked at quite a bit before settling on this choice. I thought it was well rounded for the quality, design and sound. I am very happy with my purchase.
Where they shine is in the comfort, portability and sound quality. They do require a good source to make this happen and work well with beats audio products such as the HP Touchpad and their laptop series.
The one area of improvement is in their bass range. It could be a little stronger when you want to venture off into the deep bass end. Otherwise great sound production that you can wear with relative comfort all day at your desk or easily take in the provided case on a travel adventure.

The best portable headphone I ever tried, March 2, 2011
This review is from: JVC HAS900 On Ear Lightweight Headphones (Electronics)
When I received this from Amazon I was shocked by the quality: It is such a light plastic headphone, and it looks like a 20 bucks headphone. I cannot imagine that the original price is USD 120+. It is very different from other Japanese brand product. It explains the poor response from market.
When I just plugged and tried this the sound quality is just Okay. The sound was rounded off, and midbass was bloomy.
I gave it a try and used my CAS to run it. The sound quality was much improved after an overnight break-in. After a few days exercise it sang! The sound is now very balanced, detailed and rich. The vocal quality is marvelous. It reminded me of the sound of my old gear B&W 802 matrix driven by ADCOM power amp. This kind of British monitor kind of sound is excellent for pop, jazz and chamber music. It beats my AXX ESW and SenXXXXX hands down. However if you like the artificial colouring of sound you will be disappointed.
If you are a music lover and need to spend a lot of time in travelling it will be a good companion to you. Don't be scared by the cheap appearnace. It is outweighed by the superb sound quality.
