Gets the Job Done Thoroughly,

This review is from: JVC Car KDG140 50Wx4 MOSFET In-Dash CD Receiver (Electronics)
Well, considering I paid only 65 dollars delivered, it has an auxilary input for an mp3 player, and an extra sensitive radio tuner with like 14 presets on it, I would say it is a pretty good device. I installed it myself, and I have had zero problems with it. It sounds great, and it has like 6 different preset equalizer settings, plus a user setting if you don't like any of those. It has a really simple face plate (which is removable by the way) which is great because there is no chance of me hitting something and messing up all of my settings. It also came with a tiny little remote, which I never use and see no time in the future when I will use it, but the point is, it is there.
Bottom Line: If you want something that is cheap, reliable, and just plays cds and the radio, look no further.

Great price for a great radio,

I got this product super fast in brand new condition for an amazing price. The only thing it can't do is play mp3 CDs, but it has a thing in it to hook up to an mp3 player so it doesn't really matter. It works perfectly and is totally awesome, thank you seller.

I used this unit to replace an old Becker cassette player in my Mercedes. The unit fit perfectly. I initally had a problem with low volume and static in the speakers until I figured out that separate wires are needed from each of the four channels to the speakers. The instructions say that the left and right channels cannot share a common ground, but fail to say that the front and rear cannot share a common ground either. Once I separated the speaker wiring, the unit worked perfect.

I'm impressed by the good sound, sensitivity and ease-of-use. I am using this unit in my home office to replace a very old home stereo receiver that was finally on its last legs after almost 40 years. I run it from a 12V power supply. It has all I need - FM, CD and Aux Input (I use this for internet radio from my computer). The remote control is very simple and very handy. It's much more compact than any home stereo receiver I could find. And the price was right.

I own several cars and install this deck into each of them. The aux jack for your iPod is a must. Overall this stereo works great and sounds great. Again, can't beat the price.

By the time i ordered this product it displayed the add as an MP3 Player Unit. But When i got it, the catalog that came with it was for G140/G240. And only the G240 is MP3 Capable. I conctacted the seller Barny's Erlectonics, they replied me with a one line message : nowhere on the amazon it says its an MP3 Player. Ofcourse the add has been updated by now, I'm sure. I contacted Amazon.com to see if they can provide any information regarding the add by the date of the purchae, and as you would have imagined, they can't. So my advice tripple check what you are buying by model and google reviews for it before buying anything!

I have been using this stereo for a few months now. No problems at all. It was easy to install. The remote control makes it easy for backseat listeners to tune the radio to the game. The Aux. Input is great for IPods and GPS Units.

I got this radio 2 days after I ordered it, and I didn't even choose overnight or 2-day. This head unit is AMAZING. I installed it in a 2008 Toyota Corolla because I had gotten sick of hearing that annoying static hiss that came with the FM transmitters I used with my iPod and iPhone (this includes the Harman/Kardon Drive+Play). Since this unit has an AUX input, I can just plug my devices in. This even allows me to run an AUX cable from my JVC to the Drive+Play, so I can still control my iPod from the Drive+Play remote. I bought a wiring harness for it (don't skip it, you NEED a harness or else you'll end up butchering your factory stereo hookup) and it was a matter of plug-n-play. Honestly, the hardest part of the whole process was shutting my car up after I accidentally let the battery terminal slip and touch the node, setting off the car alarm.
Long story short: Great stereo, easy to install, fast shipping, great price, worth every penny. MUCH better sound than the crappy factory Corolla radio. |
