JVC KS-SB200 Boom Box for KT-SR2000 Sirius Satellite Radio Tuner

I choose the JVC Sirius tuner because of this boombox. It is by far the best boombox available for satellite. The sound is good due to it having separate tweeters mounted coaxially with the woofers unlike the other brands which just have a full range speaker. It's very easy to operate. It has an input for things like your MP3 player and a headphone output which mutes the speakers. It even has a built in fan to cool the tuner which is really nifty. Definately the way to go to take Sirius to the pool or yard.

I have three of these boomboxes. First I bought one when Howard Stern went to Sirius. Then to hear him at work I was lugging the boombox back and forth from the office and home every Friday/Monday. So I bought a second one that I leave at the office and just keep the plug in with me. Finally, my husband was tired of moving the home boombox from room to room (kitchen when cooking, bedroom at night) that he asked if we could purchase a third one for him only. So I bought a third one just days prior to Howard going live on the internet. Let me tell you, the third one was the hardest to find because these little plug-ins are discontinued at Sirius. Target had this boombox on sale for $39, so I jumped on it. I see they are here on Amazon still - so that is great. We have purchased two others for friends as gifts and they were elated. Sirius is fantastic, besides being a Stern fan, their programming rocks - and NASCAR is coming in 2007! Now they just have to get MLB away from Clear Channel's XM and XM will go down in flames! Highly recommended from a person who never listens to old radio anymore. 24/7, it's Sirius.

we've had sirius radio for a year now in our vehicles and really like it. My husband has been bugging me for the boom box,so for his bday i finally got it for him. and in waiting long enough the price went down too.

we sit on our porch in the evening sipping cocktails and eating dinner and listening to good music. we have had no problems w/ it at all. we put the antenna on the edge of the porch banister and it comes in loud and clear. we have also used it inside the house, we just put the antenna near one of the windows and no problem receiving anything at all. this weekend we plan to take it on our trip and use it in the hotel.

the sound is good and clear and i would recommend it!!

I purchased this boom box to accomadate my plug n' play unit. The sound is decent, depending on which "station" you are listening to. Sirius offers more bandwidth to stations which have more people listening and vice verca. However, $100 I would have expected a unit with superbass. The unit works great outdoor and I am very satisfied, however for indoor use I had to purchase the TERK SIR6 outdoor antenna - it was easy to install but it was another $45 to make a $100 unit work.

Howerver, I do have to say the programming that Sirius offers is great and full of variety. My heart is warmed everytime I think that Clear Channel has lost another listener to Sirius.

this was a replacement of the same item. the speakers on the first one made as much buzzing noise as the music. the new one operates excellently with good solid sound.

Excellent product that fits my needs very well. When notified the antenna was missing from the box, the seller purchased an antenna and had it shipped direct to me. Five stars for the seller!

I didnt actually buy from here just wanted to post a review on product. I use it for a mp3 player and sound is really clear. A really good buy and you can get this on the cheap if you look for it ... cant rate it on the satellite but for a ipod sounds great

oh i cant say how great a purchase this item is. do some research and you will not find a better deal on the internet. i use it for my mp3 player and it works great.

Two nits: Power switch is easy to bump and audio spectrum is biased to the low side. That said this is a nice toy to allow you listen to Sirius anywhere.

I enjoy continous music at home, however was disappointed when I couldn't get any reception during part of my weekend stay at a resort. The problem seem to be with the direction of the building which we stayed the first night. However, once we moved to a room which had a balcony facing a differant direction we had no more problems. Location does make a differance.

At home the music comes in clearly, that's a good thing.
