Our church ordered nine of the units. The units were received on-time and all worked fine, but the boxes the TVs were shipped in were thin and poor quality. Multiple boxes were torn, with two torn apart. Tiger Direct should have placed these weak boxes together in a stronger box or two. I bought this tv on Black Friday and it worked perfectly for 10 months. And then around 11pm, the screen went black and it was stuck on standby. It was under the manufacturer warranty for 1 year and then the stores' for additonal 3 years. I called JVC and they told me to take it to this repair shop and they had my tv for over 6 weeks saying they keep trying to fix it...

I bought this tv on Black Friday and it worked perfectly for 10 months. And then around 11pm, the screen went black and it was stuck on standby. It was under the manufacturer warranty for 1 year and then the stores' for additonal 3 years. I called JVC and they told me to take it to this repair shop and they had my tv for over 6 weeks saying they keep trying to fix it. They were replacing panels, soundboards, wires, everything and nothing was working. I got tired of being run around by JVC and the repair shop, so I called the store I got it and told me it was ok for me to return it and get my money back. JVC also apologized and sent a care package for the run around.

purchased this TV on 8-8-2009 - it stopped working today 8-30-2009.

I thought it was a very good television up to now.

I was in the middle of changing to screen to full screen and next thing I knew,

the picture went dark and there is a lighted frame around the inside picture screen.

I could and still cannot turn off the TV. I had to unplug it. When I plug it back in,

the TV comes on with the lighted frame. It took a while for me to get the DVD out.

Prior to this, I thought the TV was great. It always defaulted back to the regular screen size,

and I always had to change it to wide screen or full screen. I thought it was a pretty good set.
