We own/operate a portable DJ business, so I really didn't expect much from this little unit. I must admit that it surprised me with the quality of sound it produces, especially the deep bass it is capable of.Don't be fooled by the "500 watts" though. I am certain that they can justify that number with baffling peak or RMS calculations that add this and that together, but the sound level output doesn't come close to the levels of a professional system pumping 500 watts. That being said, it is certainly loud enough to cause hearing loss in an average sized room ... My favorite feature is the USB input! I can connect my laptop directly to this without going through a sound card to play digital music and other audio programs. It looks good also. The metallic finish masks the actual plastic and particle board construction, making it look quite impressive on the shelf. Bottom line, we are glad that we chose this unit for our meeting room. The value-to-cost ratio is very high.

Great sound,

I puchased this after I returned a similar RCA system that sounded like it cost $ 25.00. This unit is powerful, has decent sound quality, and is fairly user friendy, even for a 50 year old. I would recommend it.
