It offers JVC's bi-amplified G-Max system with Twin Hyper Woofers combined with two main speakers, two rear speakers, and a center channel speaker for for 400 watts of total power output. It also offers a 3-disc carousel DVD player that's compatible with DVD movie and CD music discs, and your own mixes burned to CD-R/RW discs. The center component measures 10.45 by 13.25 by 14.5 inches, while the two-way, bass reflex speakers (with 6-5/16 (13cm) cone woofer, 2 (5cm) cone tweeter and 5-9/16 (16cm) cone subwooferr) measure 10.45 by 13.25 by 13.5 inches.

The MXDVA5 features Dolby Digital and Pro Logic (2-channel mix down) compatibility, 20-track programming, 3 preset and 3 manual equalization settings, Live Surround (Dance/Club/Hall/Stadium), and 1-bit Dual D/A converter.
