JVC RC-BX530 Portable Stereo with CD Syncro Start Recording

I bought a JVC RC-BX530 portable CD player for my office.
Shortly after the 30/90 day warranty gave out, the player began to present itself with problems that to this day are still there and I cannot seem to find a solution...
The LID NEVER stays closed. Oh, it APPEARS closed but the unit says differently. After opening and closing and opening and closing several times it might decide to display the numbers and finally begin to play... OR -- it might not! One minute my relaxation music or lovely audio book is playing along and suddenly *** BOOM ! *** it stops to tell me "NO DISC". Now, I look in through the window and I can swear I see a disc but, it still says no disc. OPEN - CLOSE - OPEN - CLOSE - No disc - OPEN - CLOSE - begins to play.... STOPS - now it displays "Err" ~ should say "Grrr" because that's how I feel. I start the parade all over again and finally give up. Toss the relaxation CD. Go get my cassette player and throw in some Ozzy. It will cost more for me to ship this unit off for repair than its worth.
I will NEVER buy another JVC product again in my life. EVER!
I recommend you vow the same and save yourself the frustration.
Oh...I like the remote...but that's about it...and I can get that from another, more "RELIABLE" product.
