I ordered this portable stereo system for my daughter. After hearing the quality of the sound and all the features it has now I want it.
This system has a cassette, CD player and a tuner radio all in one. This is a great price after searching for one. Most portables do not come with a cassette which is a plus and cost about the same or higher.

System has the following features:

I am very impressed with this system and is a great value for the price!

It is a good, solid boombox for it's price. I was impressed with the sound quality and overall features. However, the remote buttons are rather small and close together, even with my very small hands it is somewhat awkward. Warning, don't hold the volume button for too long, it will keep adjusting the volume after you release the button. Can be most annoying when the box is placed on the other side of the office the volume keeps increasing....

This boombox gives great sound from CD's, cassettes, and the radio. It is also lightweight and easy to use. The only problem is that the remote control has to be aimed very well or it won't work, and the buttons are very tiny. I still gave this boombox 5 stars because I would have bought it without a remote. This was a great buy!

Why pay $10 more when you can get almost the same quality for $49.98? Type in your Amazon Search box "JVC RC-ST1 CD Boombox" and you will see what I mean. After a dissapointing experience with a Philips boombox that wouldn't play by Philips CD-RW burned CDs beside regular CDs, I am coming back "home" to the brand that has never failed me.

I bought this because my stereo just stopped working. So I was looking for something that was somewhat small and portable,had a radio, cd, and cassette player.

I have a music cd which had a hidden track before the 1st track. I had tried to rewind it on my old cd player and on the cd player on my computer. Both did not allow me to rewind before the 1st track.

So when I received the JVC RC-ST3 CD Boombox, I wanted to see if it could rewind to the hidden track before Track 1. I couldn't believe that it did rewind! Finally, I was able to listen to the hidden track. Because of this, I gave this boombox a thumbs up.

The sound is great as well.

I read all of the reviews before buying this CD Boombox for my 4 year old son's birthday. I was going to buy the more kid-like stereo boomboxes (Fisher Price, Disney, etc), but all the reviews were rather negative. So, when I read all of the positive reviews for this product, I decided this one would probably be perfect. The price was within my range, and my son loves music. He would've been disappointed if his stereo stoppeded working. He can operate this stereo easily, and the sound is excellent. I would recommend this product for any age group - expecially if you don't want to spend a lot of money.

just like the fellow before with the broken cassete player. well i didnt have that problem it was the AM FM radio that gave up on me. after a one time use for about 30 minute just as a test to see if everythings is working fine, it was. until the following week i checked the product once more and guess what. the radio didnt want to play no more, it was on a strike, and filled my room with full blown static, im talking about every station from AM - FM.

and its funny how this unit broke down on me right after the 14 day return limit. now im stuck with this crap and ahve to go down to the service center to have it fixed, refurbished, whatever. a brand new product a couple of weeks old and i am having problems with it.

i will never purchase another JVC again. please stick with the pros, SONY or PANASONIC. hell, even RCA is better than this.

Update: The cassette player doesn't work and it's too late to take it back to the store. Drat...so I can't recommend this boombox. I waited too long to test the cassette player out. The CD player and radio work fine. Cord is way too short too. Oh well, it'll just have to be a radio/Cd player for me.
