Good System Setup & Sound / Slow CD/DVD Changes, December 7, 2004
This review is from: JVC TH-M303 Home Theater System with 5-Disc DVD Player (Electronics)
I bought this sytem about 2 weeks ago. So Far, everything is working just fine. The sound is decent and the design is good, the system is easy to setup (clap your hands in the setup program and it sets the distances from each speaker)however, I do have some complaints.
Decent quality sound reproduction but sounds a bit washed out in the mid range.
The system takes what seems to be forever to switch from one dvd/cd to another with a lot of winding and clicking sounds.
It has a 5-disc changer. However, the 5 trays are flimsey and they open up by forcing open the front cover - it only opens by way of the disc tray pushing it down and out of the way as the trays come out.
For the price, I think it's a good deal. However, I probably would now see about the TH-M606 instead - it is more expensive, but it is more powerful.
I think JVC should see about inproving switching speeds inside the unit as well as making the face cover open independantly of the discs pushing it open - i'm just waiting for one of the flemsey trays to break if the front cover ever sticks closed.
