Pros: This system plays just about WHATEVER FORMAT you have out there. There were a couple audio formats that didn't play but the system is NICE. The sound is great, the look is nice, and the touch sensitive buttons are very nice. For the price this is a great buy. INPUTS!!! New Virtual Surround sound technology with all speakers in the front.

Cons: The touch sensitive buttons are rarely used, and they're so cool you find reasons to press them. It would be cool if this could hold more than one DVD. Another Con is going between the different modes. You can't just plug in the USB mass drive and play all those different formats, you have to set it up per format.(This takes going into the menu and switching over!!!) I have a DVD player that will just play all the formats from one DVD.

Other than that, this is a very good system. I bought this system after returning the Panasonic SCP 950. The 950 had a little hissing with the wireless speakers in the back. Also, it didn't have any inputs. Surround Sound System with no inputs?!?!?! I highly recommend this system for the price.

I bought this system because of Transformers on HD DVD. This system has great sound although not audiophile quality, it is great for everyday people that just want great sound when they watch a movie. Looks great, the reciever fits right in next to my HD player and my TV. I definately recommend it.

The Setup is kind of tricky at first, One tip I would suggest is reading the entire manual before turning on the system and setting it up. Once you figure out how to use the manual, setup is relatively easy. Although I haven't setup the delays yet.

I do wish that the front speaker stands were just a little taller than they are. I have to buy some kind of stand for them because they don't sit at the optimal height.

Other than that Transformers sounded amazing and I have no regrets with this surround system. BTW I have a decent sized living room 14x12 and it sounded perfectly suited for my house.

This is not an audiophile system but produces quite good surround sound with a decent subwoofer on which you can set the cross-over range. You also can adjust volume and delays for the speaker positions to balance out the room and your position in it. It really enhances your movie and sports HD viewing experience.

Although I'm familiar with wiring and programming in most systems, this was difficult to figure out due to what is perhaps the most abstruse owner's manual ever produced. The folks at the customer service number were helpful--although sometimes they, too, seemed a little confused. The manual does contain all the information you need and it's amusing to figure out--if you like cross-word puzzles. One of its cute tricks is to refer you to multiple, sequential set-up pages for every thing you wish to accomplish.

If you don't mind a moderate amount of set-up frustration, the system is a very good one-box solution.

Bought this at Fry's Electronics. Easy to set up. Although stands are kind of too short for floor use. The built in DVD player is great and plays my AVI files right from computer. Most players do not. Also, the ipod dock is very convenient. Plus, it looks really cool.
Highly recomended for the price.

The sound quality is great, the picture is looks amazing. There are no preset plugs for speaker cables.Speaker wire can easily be upgraded for better sound. I like the capabilities to use one remote for TV, Cable Box, DVD player and iPod. the remote doesn't work with all features but it works well with the basics. For the price the best possible sound and picture. I highly recommend this product.

Overall, it is a great system. Had everything I wanted from Ipod dock to DVD to 1200 watts. The audio quality is amazing compared to an older model we had. Got it on Amazon when it was only $275, which was a steal to the current price of over $400. It could have been a better system had it included a 5-disc changer like other competitor models and taller floor speakers, but thats no big deal because it's still great. The initial setup was a little confusing but manageable, make sure you follow the manual. I recommend this system to anyone thinking of buying it, although I'm not sure when it will be at $275 again.

I purchased the system as an upgrade from an ancient unit that i was operating with. I did a lot of reasearch on comparable units and for the money it is an excellent system for the average joe. It did take some support from JVC to complete the setup but I do rate them an A+ in their effort to satisfy my ridiculously novice questions. Sound quality, value, and ease of use are high on my list of reasons to choose this model.

excellent product for the money paid....certain setup functions were confusing @ first, but after sometime it's all second nature. i love the ipod docking station, especially since you can use the remote to control playback features.

This system looks good & sounds great ! The ipod dock & usb port in front are handy.Works well with my JVC lcd tv. In a perfect world i would have made the surround speakers wireless.

Looks good, and not too expensive. It looks like it has gone up in price since I purchased it, so it must be a unit in demand. Does almost everything I wanted it to do, and it does it at a price less than the rest. Sound quality is good for the price. To get something better than this, you would be looking at double in price.
