Better than my last few players
The last few players I had (Sony, Yamaha and Apex) froze up and skipped on me all the time. The JVC player has been working fine now for almost a year and has never frozen or skipped. I love the blue illumination and my CDs sound great.

This DVD player stinks
From the day I took this player out of the box, I have struggled with it. It regularly freezes up when an item is selected from the menu. To un-freeze it, you must either open the tray or turn off the unit. It's garbage. I expected more from JVC.
