5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, many uses
This does what it's supposed to: sticks well, and comes of clean when done.
I used to do some home-engineering and used this tape for my console. After I stopped using the studio, I've used this tape for many uses:
- labeling storage containers in the refrigerator and freezer--holds up to water, ice, cold, etc. very well
- labeling bulk-loaded film...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not great for use in art
I do acrylic paintings. I had been using blue painters tape to attach paper or canvas paper to a board. The blue color was interfering with my ability to manage the colors of the artwork. The adhesive on this tape is really strong. When peeling the tape off, it often takes part of the paper with it. Probably great for other purposes though.

I used to do some home-engineering and used this tape for my console. After I stopped using the studio, I've used this tape for many uses:

- labeling storage containers in the refrigerator and freezer--holds up to water, ice, cold, etc. very well

- labeling bulk-loaded film cartridges--I'm an avid photographer, and I find the bright white is perfect for labeling the film type on my home-rolled cartridges

- labeling temporary items--e.g. if you have regular and decaf coffee carafes at a party, you can use this tape, trim the ends neatly, and you have a presentable label without having to worry whether anyone understands that orange means decaf (doesn't it seem like no one remembers this anymore?)

- any kind of labeling where you don't want residue

I use this tape around the edges of my watercolor paper which is stretched on a board while I am painting. It is great because it doesn't damage the paper and if you clean off the paint it gives the effect of a white mat while working on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop Cold Air!, January 13, 2012

This review is from: JVCC ART-11 Artist/Board/Console Tape: 3/4 in. x 60 yds. (White) (Misc.)
I know this isn't the original use for this tape, but having used it for my artwork in the past, I knew how it came clean after using. So, fed up with the cold air blowing in around my closed and locked windows, I taped the joints around where the windows and the window frames met and wallah! No more cold air blowing in.

So much easier than the shrink wrap plastic over the entire window. It comes off clean as a whistle in the spring when you want to open your windows again! I have white painted window frames and I didn't want to rip the paint off, so this tape worked where I wouldn't dare try something more adhesive. It leaves no sticky residue, no pulled up paint. Yeah, duct tape would keep the wind out, but good luck with it next spring! Measure all the way around your windows, so you buy enough tape. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars works well, January 2, 2012

I used this tape during the Christmas season to create 'panes' on my large windows. I used to use electrical tape but this is much cheaper & removes much more cleanly & easily. I will be buying more for Christmas 2012
