5.0 out of 5 stars Very durable! Money well spent!
I have a purebred ladrador, who is a strong chewer and destroys almost every toy I have bought her within DAYS (3 days max). This toy, however, is VERY durable! I bought it about 3 months ago and there isn't a rip or hole on it. It has a high pitch squeak to it when the dog (or you) squeezes the ball. It definitely gets my dogs attention!!! I really like this ball over...

2.0 out of 5 stars BE CAREFUL!
I personally know 5 people who had to have surgery on their dogs because of this toy. Yes, it's fun(and the medium size fits it a large chuck-it) but those FEET. I've known dogs who chewed and swallowed the feet in a matter of seconds.. some passed them within 48 hours but five unlucky ones got obstructions and had to have surgery(one cost over $2,500. Some people are smart and simply cut the feet off while I simply buy the "Other cuz" which has posts instead of feet which I highly recommend.

I really like this ball over other balls I have bought, mainly because this one has feet. With feet, you can never predit where it will bounce or where it will decide to go. It keeps my dog guessing and she loves playing fetch with it. I am so happy so my purchase-- it's perfect for destructable puppies and adult dogs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great toy but squeaker breaks, August 21, 2005

My dog loves this toy and the squeak it makes. He runs around with it and chews it as well as chases it and plays fetch. The one problem I have with this toy is that I'm about to by my third one because the squeaker breaks. I now have two Cuz toys (all smooth round, one yellow and one green) with broken squeakers and one Dino Cuz that seems to be more durable. Yes, the rubber stays in tact but the squeaker helps me leash train my puppy and get his attention so I really rely on it.

This review is from: JW Pet Company Bad Cuz Dog Toy, Large (Colors Vary) (Misc.)
The second i gave Bad Cuz to my lab/pit puppy, he knew it was for him. The second he heard it he freaked and hasnt stopped playing with it since!
It also seems to be very sturdy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Obsession, June 21, 2006

In the Pre-Bad-Cuz Era, Harley's main interest in life was me. Following me around the house, sitting on his bed, etc. Once I introduced this toy, he became a different dog. Obsessed. Something about 2 miniature legs and tiny pointed nipples drives him crazy. I fear what he might do to get more Bad Cuzes. I have never seen my dog so frenetically wildly happy. I am willing to give up being the center of Harley's world because it gives me so much pleasure to see him so pleased with himself.

My only complaint is the legs get chewed off too easily, and the squeak stops squeaking within days. This is my dog's fault more than any engineering flaw.

3.0 out of 5 stars My Westie loves the Cuz but beware..., March 23, 2006
My three and a half yr. old Westie loves the Cuz but they should be checked from time to time. My dog is not a chewer-he loves to chase the Cuz when I throw it. I noticed a few months ago the feet were missing and I found one but never found the other one but did not think too much about it. About 1 month ago Riley got sick and ended up at the vets for emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction caused by the Cuz foot. I stronly recommend that if you have/get one, periodically check the feet and make sure the rubber has not cracked or that the feet are not loose. He has another one and I have cut the feet off of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Indestructble, September 20, 2005

I have 2 mini-dachshunds who love to chew and destroy squeaky toys. I've gone through countless toys with them, most only lasting a day or two. Never has a squeaker lasted more than a few hours in my house. I tried the Kong, but I think they somehow knew it was indestructable and refused to play with it, plus, no squeak. My husband and I brought home two of the midsize Cuzes and 4 months later they still are in tact! More amazingly, the squeakers still work! Both of my dogs love to play fetch with them and chew on them, and they've not yet gotten bored. In fact, for the first two weeks, I used to have to hide them, as the dogs wouldn't even sleep when they were around... they wanted to play constantly! Now we play with them several times a day. Hands down, these are the BEST toys I've ever purchased. They have also saved us alot of money, and kept our dogs healthy as they are no longer able to swallow bits of toys that they've torn apart. The only downside is they do tend to get quite slimy with doggy slobber- YUCK! :o)

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a toy my Labs don't devour in 5 minutes!, October 1, 2009
I have 2 Labs that love to chew! I've bought everything from Kong toys to Nylabone. I got one for each dog and my 4 yr old Lab chewed the feet off instantly. However, these toys have lasted us over a year now. The squeaky inside can get on your nerves, as my 1 year old Lab loves to squeak it when she wants attention!! Definitely keeps them distracted and I'm amazed they aren't in a million pieces. I would recommend this product to anyone who has aggressive chewers. They have saved me tons of dollars as I used to buy toys every other week cause my dogs would tear a toy up in a matter of minutes then be discouraged when there was no toy. LOVE THE CUZ!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Be Watchful With Chewers!, March 16, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My mini schnauzer is an aggressive chewer. I had to cut the ears down on the small Bouncy Walking Ball because RaeAnn had started chewing them off. The feet are still intact. This toy appears to be a challenge for her, however, as with any toy, be watchful with your chewers!
