I have been looking for good quality tomato cages for some time. These cages are a bit pricey but I am pleased with the purchase over all. They mimic the concentric circle wire cages you find everywhere, but are made of much thicker plastic.

As you can see from the video they have a nifty design that allows them to fold flat for storage over the winter. I have yet to try them through a season with fruit on them but my sense is they will hold up fairly well. My only suggestion is that they could have been a little taller and also had a little more weight/sturdiness in the legs. Yes big improvement from the wire cages but just a little more weight to really drive them into the ground and support fruit would have been better. However these still seem to be the best cages for my needs and with, hopefully, years of reuse a good buy.

I didn't really understand how this item worked until I received it. I think it's great. It is so much better and has more options than a metal cage. It has held up well for one season so far.

I received a shipment of four of these this week, and just finished putting them in my garden. What a great product. Very solid and well made, quite easy to set up. I am pleased enough that I just bought a second batch of four. I am growing heirloom tomatoes, these are going to be great supports for the 1-2 pound fruit I hope to get!

I purchase these tomato cage and wasn't dissapointed until they were actually needed to hold up the tomato plants as they grew. I placed the cage over the plant after the soil was to my liking and every thing seemed ok. I also liked the fact that they folded down for storage when not in use. Well, as the tomatoes grew, that's where the problems began. As the tomato plants grew larger and after a heavy rain(s), the tomato cages fell over. NOT GOOD during the growing season as there were other vegetables that were affected by the falling tomato plants. I couldn't get the stakes, with their "narrow spikes, that looked sorta like a check mark at the bottom and shrouded in PLASTIC" to go back into the ground. I ended up using the supports that were from last year and purchased from the "home improvement store" as backup. And those supports would have worked just fine, but I thought that these could be better - NOT! Don't waste you money as these are not what they seem.

These work as advertised, but are a bit large for my backyard tomato plants. I wish my plants were 4 feet tall!

I have a perennial problem (no pun intended) with my tomato plants. All plant supports work early in the season, but as the plant gets larger and the fruit heavier, they supports no longer support. The JWALT Dura-Cage cages work very well with smaller plants and my grape / cherry tomato varietues. But after a heavy rain last weekend, the regular tomato plants once again toppled over. The stakes that hold it in the ground just are not long enough. These are attractive, and were easy to assemble. They will also be easier to store after the season is over. Next year I will pound some long stakes inside the cages to give them added stability during the later part of the searson.

I received the package and one was broken. I sent it back since if the plastic rings would break just during shipping while flat, I was concerned they would not last 3 yrs. IF I'd known Amazon would deduct the return shipping for a broken item (my experience in the past was they did not), I would have contacted the manufacturer instead. Lesson learned.

I just got mine this summer. They work very well with my tomatoes. I used one for cucumbers. That one is working well too. Best of all, they are USA made.

These cages work great and are easy to use. Winter storage should be a breeze since they fold flat! We will be ordering more for next year.
