I don't think this is the best choice for a Bluetooth device unless there is an overwhelming reason for you to prefer to use AAA batteries instead of charging a long life battery daily.

I suppose there could be an advantage to being able to just plop in another AAA battery if you've forgotten to charge the phone, BUT the BT110 goes through a battery per day with heavy use.

Moreover, since the device attempts to save battery life by switching itself off when not being used, answering a call quickly from the device becomes problematic. The manual actually counsels the user to answer from the handset and then switch to the Bluetooth device, and I think, honestly, this is all expecting a little too much out of a user who's already driving on the road. The whole point is to avoid an accident, not cause one.

It also takes so much pressure to use the answer button that the device can be dislodged when attempting to turn on the device.

I really think there are better Bluetooth devices out there.

The BT110 is quite comfortable, however, which makes me think that something like the BT250 would be a good choice instead of the BT110.

I was very disappointed with this device. I thought it will be cool since it's awesome 15h talk time, but after testing it for just about a hour, I just had to return it. All seemed well at first - the device paired with my notebook seamlessly (probably because I don't have my XP infested with that horrible service pack 2..) and fit my ear perfectly.

Unfortunately, when I played some music, listened radio and talked with my friends over skype, I discovered a MAJOR fault - the sound was fine, unless someone said anything with 's' - these consonatns sounds simply horrible, like white noise on your TV when you disconnect the anthena. It totaly spoiled the experience. Altough I haven't expected miracles (bluetooth bandwith is just about 700kbit/s afterall) I would expect headphone hardware to compress audio a bit more efficiently. This was MUCH worse than my good old undranded headphones I bought years ago in a thrift store. I do certainly expect more for stuff for $35 (originally $60) so I am going to return this. I wonder how much will they refund me..

A bluetooth for 30 bucks? I would have laughed last year. not any more, especially when it comes with a AAA battery. Sounds heavy, is not, unless you are carrying it 24/7 in which case you either need a corded one or have serious issues or both.
Coming to the point:
PROs:
--Its as simple as it can get. Setup was a breeze with my Motorola V551. They recognized each other like old buddies.
--The power saving feature of the device makes the battery life go longer.
--Voice dialling works great although it is recommended that you record the voice dial thru the headset just to be precise, mine worked just fine even though I had entered thru the phone itself.
--Pretty impressive talk time of about 15 hours before the AAA battery conks out. Get a rechargeable and charge overnight (unless you are a 24/7 character in which case you need a spare battery). You have to "sync" again whenever battery is replaced. Not a big deal unless you own a V551 which is too techie for even a nerd. The manual of V551 assumes you were born with the phone but that's a subject of another discussion.
--I have two V551s and sync'ed the headset to both. It only works with the last one that was sync'ed. Cool. I don't want anyone to overhear what i say or hear :-)
--The weird shape is actually good keeping the thing in place.
--Sound quality is just great, both sides can hear well.
--Volume control is great with in about three or four increments it goes cyclical: Increase, INcrease, INCrease, decrease.

CONs:
--Well, size and weight for one. It is heavier than others in its class but figuring that the others need battery to be recharged failing which you are without a headset till the juice is up, the AAA option is slick. just change the battery and you are good to go.
--The device shuts itself down if not in use so whenever you want to make a call, you've to start it doing which, it activates the voice dial. well, you can cancel voice dial or just not say anything coherent for some time :0 and its okay. you dial from the phone and then pick up from the headset.
--You've to check your phone at times to see whether the device shut itself off or not or maybe its just me.
--It should preferably be on the same side as the phone for good quality. Initially it might be choppy but i guess it "tunes" fast.
--Works maybe good for about 10 feet.

Overall a great buy for techsavvy with a low budget, those with a good traffic sense, those who need two free hands and the space around them and especially for those stupid drivers who think they are driving a phone booth.

Two things--I don't think it is that comfortable--I wear glasses, and it would keep sliding off my ear.

More importantly, though, it didn't work with my phone, despite its support for bluetooth 1.2. Make sure your phone is on the list of approved phones, and don't even think of using it with a non-phone bluetooth device (even if it supports bluetooth headsets).

After my one brief flirtation with bluetooth I am quite disappointed. What is the point if the devices are not easily interchangeable? On the other hand, I was happy with Amazon's quick refund of my money.

The product is bulky as you carry the AAA battery behind your ear. This has been mentioned before the product is bought. But the reality hit me after I bought the product.

The main issue is it is very difficult to wear. I am unable to get it fit in my ear. Tried a lot of ways but in vain...

I bought this headset for use with VOIP applications on my G4 powerbook.

The headset is very simple to use, and uses a single AAA battery, which is easy to replace when you're out on the road (much easier than having to wait for a recharge). Once I have it up and running, it works without any problems, and people I speak to using it say the sound quality is great. Battery life is actually quite impressive. The price was also quite good.

My only issues with this headset are as follows:

1) the range seems to be less than some others that I've used (pretty much just in the same room-- signal starts to break up if I go to another room). Wish it was a little further, but OK.

2) Headset is a little too quick to shut off/unpair if a connection is not made quickly.

3) Some pairing/connection issues initially with my G4 powerbook, which I attribute to problems with the OS X software.

Overall, a very comfortable to wear, usable headset.

Using with a Treo 650... Popcorn sounds in the background, couldn't have the phone more than 12 inches away from the unit or it would disconnect or just sound horrible. Couldn't use the unit with sunglasses, not good in Texas! You can not answer calls with the unit, never worked once!

When it works, it works well, but I'm constantly getting warnings on my phone about a weak signal even when the phone is right next to the headset. The Jabra BT110 is comfortable despite having a triple-A battery inside, and the many ear inserts make it very easy to get comfortable. I just wish I could have a complete conversation without losing the headset.

I have always liked Jabra products, but this particular headset doesn't work with the "latest and greatest" phones such as the Razr, regardless of the claimed Blue Tooth compatability. Getting the headset for work the phone is hit and miss. Answering the phone via the headset buttons is not an option.

I have to admit being a bit wary of personal electronics with rechargeable batteries (though I do adore my Tungsten T3), but I am impressed with the little unit. Even with the AAA battery in there, it's very lightweight and I hardly notice that it's on my ear. I have it paired with my Nextel Blackberry 7250 and it works very well.

CLARITY

Range is about fifteen feet, maybe a little more. I started to lose clarity at about that distance, but within five feet of my Blackberry, the signal was nice and clear. The one thing I haven't done is use it with the direct connect feature, but that should work just as well as with this unit.

BATTERY LIFE

The battery-life is quite good, about 15 hours as stated, and the neat thing is that once the call is ended, it shuts off on its own.

Highly recommended for the hold-outs like me who still prefer replaceable batteries over the rechargeable/non-replaceable ones.
