Jabra BT160 Bluetooth Headset,
By
This review is from: Jabra BT160 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I read some negative reviews about this bluetooth. I noticed that no one mentioned what type of cellphones they were using. I went ahead and ordered it, mainly because of the price and the interchangeable faceplates. I have had wonderful luck with this Jabra. I have a Samsung A930 and the sound both ways is great. Easy to use, no echo, long battery life and the fit is secure and comfortable.

Works fine for me,
This review is from: Jabra BT160 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have head this earpiece for about 2 months and I like it a lot. The person on the other end never sounds any different from when I'm holding the phone and they say that they can hear me just fine. I don't hear static or cracking in the background either. The battery lasts a long time. I can leave the earpiece on for a few days and it still doesn't need to be charged up. The last time I charged it was about two weeks ago. I can hold a pretty long conversation on it. The earpiece is kind of loose, but I don't have to adjust it, I just leave it alone because it's not going to fall off. It's great for talking while you're shopping or typing at a computer. I like that I can change the faceplates too. I bought this earpiece for my Sanyo Katana and it works well with this phone.

Let me start by telling you that I am a heavy business cell phone user. Having a clear and understandable conversation is very important for me and my customers. I was very excited about bluetooth as being hands free is great when multi-tasking. This headset did allow me to hear conversations marginally well, but the person on the other end was unable to hear me. Regularly, I heard "are you on a headset, can you get off of it I can barely understand you". Apparently, I was cutting out an unacceptable amount on their end. Due to this happening on every call I was forced to stop using this headset. Overall, my experience with this product was not a good one.

Loose, bad voice pickup, good sound,

This was the first BT headset I ever bought and after only 2 days of use I realized that this headset was not for me. It was extremely loose on my ear and, even though it never fell off, I constantly was having to adjust it to make it tighter. Furthermore, the people who I was talking to kept telling me that they could not understand me. The earpiece is great and it is easy to hear those who you are talking to; however, the looseness and poor voice pickup make this headset a bad buy, even for the price!

Blue tooth headset,

Works great, though a touch quite in a loud car. People you talk to can hear everything, very sensitive mic.

I had hoped for more from the Jabra ear piece. The range isn't as much as hoped for, but over all, I do like it. I especially like the fact that I can change the look.
The fit around my ear is not as comfortable as hoped, either, but I HAVE worn looser and less comfortable ones. It IS light, and that is a plus. Being able to change it from left ear to right ear is nice as well.

I just love it. I got it for Christmas. The sound is clear and very comfortable. The selection of faceplates to change your mood it is just fabulous. You will love it to.

Terrible Product,

I'm shocked by the number of positive reviews I'm reading about this headset!
I'm on my THIRD one in SIX MONTHS!!! It can't hold a charge, it takes HOURS UPON HOURS to charge, it has terrible reception, and has the shelf life of... well, shell fish. I'm thrilled to see that people like the Motorola, I'm going to buy that right now. After this experience with Jabra, I doubt I'll ever buy something of theirs again. I'm only giving it one star because I have to. I'd give it a O if I could.

I had 3 of these headsets so far, bought one after another as I lost or flooded or otherwise destroyed the ones I had. Why do I keep coming back to them? Simple: they are adjustable and fit very well on my ear. They also don't suffer from too much echo and have a decent sound quality. Their ability to hold the connection is spotty: placing the phone on the opposite side of the body from the headphone sometimes results in inferior connection. It's not the smallest of the Jabra phones and it's not the lightest or with the longest charge holding ability. But it's a lot more _comfortabe_ than other Jabra, Motorola, or Samsung models I've owned. And that's why I am about to buy another one.

Still no word back since I shipped the product back with my RMA. But the charger was supposed to plug in & turn a blue light on that remains on until fully charged. The charger that came with it didn't fit in the hole. Also, the interchangeable paper patterns are cute, but the cheap plastic that snaps over it needs a fine finger nail buffer taken to it to smooth the rough cut edges. Very cheaply made.
