5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable
This item works surprisingly well. It is compact to carry around and the built-in microphone works incredibly well. I had a hard time believing that a microphone at my ear would actually work, but it does. The sound cleaning technology also works well. Take the time to find the eargell that best fits you (it comes with 6 different sizes) or it can be uncomfortable...

2.0 out of 5 stars It didn't sound very good, and it didn't fit
The Jabra EarSet sounds like a fabulous idea - the whole assembly right in your earpiece, no microphone on a stick, no microphone on a string. Unfortunately, if your ears aren't fairly close to the size of the ear gels, the earpiece either falls out of your ear or causes it substantial pain. To make matters worse, the EarSet really cuts the high frequencies, making the...

Take the time to find the eargell that best fits you (it comes with 6 different sizes) or it can be uncomfortable. Once I found the right one, it was great. I was able to talk on a two hour call without any discomfort.

5.0 out of 5 stars My husband likes mine so much, I'm buying him his own, September 7, 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jabra Classic EarSet for Phones with a 2.5mm Jack (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have an earlier version of this and really like it. Because it comes with different size ear buds I was able to let my husband "borrow" mine. I had to practically steal it back from him - so now I'm getting one for him.

When my husband used this and called me, I was very impressed with the quality of sound. I've had other headsets that were more cumbersome and really made you sound like you were at the bottom of a well.
Sometimes I have a hard time hearing the person on the line while using this, but usally that's where there is noise activity around me and/or the person is also on a cell phone with a ear device.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, May 1, 2004

I have used this product every day for 18 months, at least one hour per day. My first set died after 11 months, but they replaced it with no problem. It is by far the most comfortable and hassle-free headet I have ever used. Wind is an issue, but that is the same for all head-sets. Trust me, this is a good product. I have turned 5-6 friends on to this ear piece, and they all love it as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only headset I will use, August 31, 2006
This review is from: Jabra Classic EarSet for Phones with a 2.5mm Jack (Wireless Phone Accessory)

I'm buying them in quantity because apparently a variety of 15 models with external microphones is preferable to continue with the simple design that made Jabra a leader.

I hope they don't stop making them, but they are harder and harder to find.

Only microphone that you don't have to hold in front of your mouth or yell to have people hear you clearly.

I now own three EarSets and use them frequently. It is hands down the best headset I have ever used. It is small and stows away easily, and there is no boom or dangling mic to get in the way since the mic is in the earpiece. Contrary to what you might expect with this unusual mic placement, callers cannot tell you are using a headset, and the sound is clear with plenty of volume. It does take a few seconds to fit the eargel into your ear, but once set, it does not fall out - at least in my ear. That is the one caveat with this design. Two of my family members have tried this headset but one could not get a solid fit (the headset would fall out) with any of the three supplied eargels. That said, it is a great piece of engineering that really works. Unfortunately, Jabra discontinued the EarSet some time ago. However, they can still be found on eBay for well below their original selling price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best headset I'be found, but they've quit making it??????, January 3, 2006

I own a pest control company, I have to be able to answer calls or I lose business. I needed a headset that could hang from my collar, when not in use, but be placed in my ear as needed. I have a drawer full of at least 12 or 15 different headsets that I have tried. This gave the best of everything available. It was discreet, no boom mic on the side of my face. When I made comparison calls, my friends voted this headset the clearest and most natural sounding on their end.

I usually tore the cable up in about 4-8 months, but I'm crawling around up in attics, and crawl spaces. This was the best product for me, or any field worker. But, I can't find it anywhere for the last six months. I don't know why Jabra quit making them. They were the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a good earset., November 11, 2004
This review is from: Jabra Classic EarSet for Phones with a 2.5mm Jack (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This earset is great. I didn't think that it would pick up my voice since the microphone is in the ear but I've had comments that the sounds is better than with my other earset. The sound quality is excellent and it's comfortable to wear! Try saying that with most of the other earsets out there. Very pleased.

To make matters worse, the EarSet really cuts the high frequencies, making the people you're talking to sound like they are speaking through a wet bath towel. But that's okay, since as far as they're concerned you're talking to them through a paper towel tube.

I purchased my EarSet about two years ago, so the product you buy here may be better.
