Compatible with Nokia 3000 and 8000 series phones, the Jabra EarWrap is a colorful, flex-forming, over-the-ear, hands-free device. It features a patented 3-D pivot system for optimal fit, and the Jabra Acoustic Director, which accurately positions the speaker against your ear for maximum sound quality. Its noise-canceling microphone helps eliminate ambient noise, and there's even a Nextel direct connect button built right in.

This product uses the unique Jabra EarGel to secure the speaker in your left or right outer ear. Its patented design channels sound directly into your ear canal--boosting levels even on low spectrum sounds--and three sizes of EarGels are included to ensure the best possible fit. Air circulates freely throughout the EarGels, and unlike conventional earpads, they are also removable, washable, and won't scratch your skin. Replacement gels are also available.

The EarWrap comes in a variety of colors, including silver, blue, and yellow.

I'm a hard-to-please audio snob, yet I'm completely satisfied with my Jabra EarWrap. Though it's usually hard enough to find an ear-piece that fits my slightly unusually-shaped ear form, its unique shape is comfortable, even with my cartilage piercings.

I've had the piece for two months, and the design has kept it intact, clean, and functioning superbly all along. I've worn it up to eight hours straight while on an interstate drive, and kept forgetting it was there until I received a call. Anyone concerned about the piece falling off once it's fitted correctly should give it a tug and see that you're in more danger of pulling off your ear.

Sound quality is excellent, both as a speaker and listener; I prefer the overall sound to that of the phone's internal speaker and mic (as do those on the other end of the conversation!) of my phone itself. It's almost too obvious to mention - but let's - that the EarWrap offers great convenience, rather than keeping the tiny 3300/8200/8800 handset pressed to one's ear with one hand.

I must admit that when this product arrived, it was a great looking earpiece. Its slick, and it even comes with several different colored snap-ons. My excitement ended when I placed it on my ear. It just hangs there! Why on earth would anybody want to wear that?! While driving, it swings around. Moreover, the plastic piece that connects the microphone/earpiece to the hanging-ear-thingy is about 1mm thick and could be broken simply by a drop to the floor. It took about 10 seconds for me to realize that this product is going straight back to Amazon!

There's not much to say about this item except that I'm embarrassed and regretful that I didn't send it back during the 30-day return period.

Here's why it's awful:

1) It's a pain to actually GET on your ear!

Unlike the wonderful in-ear jabra gel thing I use with my cordless phone at home, this takes at least 20-30 seconds to get on my ear each and every time. Not the sort of thing you want to be doing while driving, which sort of defeats the purpose now, doesn't it?

2) It's uncomfortable when it's against your ear.

Rough plastic. 'nuff said.

3) The sound quality -- at least on my end -- is lousy.

When there's even a moderate amount of ambient noise, I have a lot of trouble hearing the other party, though they can hear me just fine.

Definitely a bummer of an item, and quite a disappointment after my earlier happy experience with Jabra!
