I love most Jabra headsets that I've tried, however, I absolutely HATE this one, Jabra BT 5020.
This unit is very large and bulky.
It is impossible to talk on the unit while outside -- even on a nice day that has no wind.
If your vehicle has any noise at all, you won't be able to hear through this headset, it picks up and amplifies any background noise.
I sent my first one back for repair because I just knew it was defective since it did not have the qualities I have come to expect with Jabra products.
They sent another one to me and it is the same noisy thing ....SO, I am not using this headset, I even tried to give it to a friend who doesn't have any headset -- and she gave it back saying she couldn't hear with it.
It is now sitting in a drawer :-{
Please research this model before purchasing it, I wish I had done that...

Initially I purchased the Jabra BT5020 to replace my ancient but still kicking, back up headset. As a regular buyer of Jabra products, I've found that this company is usually on top of their game in electronics. Sadly, Jabra completely missed the boat on this poorly engineered product.

Easy pairing of the BT5020 to my cell phone was the only positive note coming from the purchase of this over hyped tool. Considering the large size of the headset, I was surprised to find the controls way too small to serve any real time every day function.

Like most new head set technology, the Jabra BT5020 can be rotated for wear on either ear. Complete with two comfort plugs, it does provide a nice fit. Audio performance was the ultimate letdown. In a quiet room, incoming audio is average at best. Outgoing calls are always muffled and deteriorated. So bad that I had to shut down the BT5020 in order to complete the call.

To sample what others were telling me about the poor audio and transmission performance, my associate took the BT5020 for a test drive. When I dialed her it took me only a few seconds to learn about the terrible audio and static others were receiving from my calls. Even with a small amount of background noise in the same building, audio was lost.

Thinking that perhaps it was just a bad unit I returned the original BT5020 for an exchange. To make a long story short, same scenario and almost the same results. The bad reception was still there and to make matters worse, the ear piece actually broke off. Apparently there was a weak point in the molding.

Without a doubt, the problem lies within quality control. Over the years I have owned several Jabra devices that went the distance and easily rated five stars. Make no mistake, the Jabra BT5020 Bluetooth Headset is not one of them. This product should have never made it past the drawing board.

I do like the way it feels on the ear but it has constant static. I've tried it with two phones and they both hear static as soon as it picks up. The caller breaks up and sounds fuzzy also. I'll return this one try another, maybe it's just this unit.

Good sound and stable on the ear, but some on the other side complain that my voice is muffled; does not always connect to the phone(s) requiring pluging the power cord to the wall to reset the earset. The speaker does not want to stay towards the ear canal resulting in loss of volume and the person next to you hearing the sound in a quiet place.
My "bulk package" shipment was missing the speaker foam cover, the silicon ear buds and the manual (I don't get it?? and the Amazon pacakging comments did not produce a response). Unfortunately, with Amazon you can only return the product and they will not provide an option for support regarding missing parts. Emailing Jabra got me the manual, but not the other parts, so I just kept it, anyway.
Fits flat in any pocket without parts sticking out or getting stock, when you're taking it out of your pocket.

My wife and I have been using this model for almost 3 years now I am on my second one and wife is getting another one I think with heavy use the seem to last about 18 to 24 months

I purchased this headset to replace my older plantronics headset. What I found was that it was the most uncomfortable headset I've ever worn and the sound quality was non-existent. Figuring it might have been just me or the phone, my wife wanted to try it out and came to the same conclusion. The headset was promptly returned for a refund.

do not buy this. To big and bulky, hard to hear and uncomforable. Do not buy.

The whole thing is a little bigger then most, but that doesnt bother me to much. But the ear piece (mic)dosnt line up with my ear. It rotates for left and right, but not far enough on either ear. Its close, but I tried for a few days and gave up.

Pros:

1- I love this form factor. Sits securely on the ear and never feels that it will fall off.

2- Audio loud and clear with the larger then normal earpiece, with the exception listed below in the cons.

3- Comes with a couple of soft rubber covers for the earpiece for comfort though I prefer not to use them.

Cons:

1- Seems to have a very small clear reception range. I can have the earpiece on my right ear and the phone in a holder on my right hip and I can get more static interference than an A.M. radio during a lightning storm.

2- Buttons are flush with the surface of the earpiece and takes some feeling around to be sure you are on the right one.

I preferred the earlier version. It had a silicone piece that fit the ear pretty well.

But that one shorted out when it fell into the toilet.

This one is just open. The extension piece for the ear canal is too clumsy to deal with

and can easily fall off. But I can hear just fine on the street, but on the hwy forget it,

too much road noise to overcome.

Initially I had connection issues using it with a motorola l7 sliver, but those connection

issues [ it would beep every 20 seconds, and disconnect then reconnect ] disappeared with

the new motorola rokr8 I just got. no disconnect problems at all, so it was the phone not the

bluetooth set.
