Simply The Best Bluetooth Headset ***Jabra JX10***,
By The industrial looking Jabra JX10 is a solid, well built device that offers its users fine audio quality, comfort, and stability. The JX10 has an aluminum body full of angles and curves with matte black accents. The aluminum silver base proved quite resistant to scratches and dings when out in the wild.

Great With Limitations,
By Good 1. Amazingly small size and relatively comfortable fit. 2. Great Battery Life. 3. Simple use, and good tactile feel. 4. Great sound quality. Bad 1. The earhook will (no question here) break in a relatively short period of time. The teeth that attach the earhook to the unit snap and allows the earhook to lose it's grip. You cannot put this headset in your pocket or purse when not using it or this will occur time after time again. If you go to Jabra's website you will see that it's on the front page for replacement earhooks. (They know this is a problem) The good news here is that they don't charge for replacement earhooks and they are quite fast at mailing them to you. My advice is to order some replacements when you get the phone because you will go through those first two exceptionally fast. Especially if you are not careful with the headset. 2. There is relatively no noise cancellation technology here. This is great in quiet cars and at home, but try walking on a street or in a mall, and it's rendered worthless. In the end this is a great headset. But only for people who consciously pamper their possessions. I got both my assistant one and my girlfriend one. They loved using it for about a month. After the earhooks broke twice in that time they basically chucked in the trash. It's great, light and cheap, but just make sure you can deal with having to be so careful with it!

great headset for the treo 700p,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this item for the treo 700p and it works wonderfully. The battery life is excellent, I can use it for > 10 ft. away from my phone, it's easy to operate, it doesn't hurt your ears like other headsets, and it looks stylish. The one advice I have for people who buy bluetooth headsets, don't automatically go for the cheaper headset...you get what you pay for. I bought the Explorer 320 from plantronics (much cheaper headset) and it would give a crackling noise if i placed my phone on the opposite side of the heaset or if i buttoned my jacket! I also checked and the palm website said that the headset was compatible for the treo 700p. I personally think that the reception and battery life on the headset are the two most important things over style and price. What good is a bluetooth headset that works only in the line of site & only 3-4 ft from a phone? you can get an excellent wired headset that does the same thing for $20 cheaper!

This blue tooth headset delivers high quality sound (both ways), fits comfortably and its very light. I had another Jabra headset of previous generation and this one is a dramatic improvement. The only short coming is lack of battery meter. Although the battery has very long life, I still could sometimes run out of power in the middle of conversation.

Works like a charm,
By One thing to consider is getting a spare ear loop. Mine has broken in less than a month of use. Also the docking and undocking it from the desktop charger requires some brute force. Every time I charge it this way I wonder whether I'm about to break something. No accidents so far but the design could be improved.

This is my third JX-10, second version II, cause it got washed. Love it. Fits in my pocket when not needed (restaurants, other conversations). Looked at others, but this product has too many accessories that others dont.

light and comfortable, but not the best functionally,

i have owned this bluetooth headset for a little over 10 months now. i use my bluetooth not only in the car but at home, so i'm essentially on it 90% of the time i use my phone (sony w810i). i bought it from Best Buy back in december, maybe as a late christmas gift to myself since my last bluetooth turned out to be a dud.initially i felt that the jabra was a great product because not only is it super light, but it's comfortable. the quality of the calls were clear at home. but after using it in different contexts, i realized that it has a number of significant shortcomings. PROs: - lightweight - comfortable (i forget i'm wearing it) - easy buttons / intuitive functionality - sleek design CONs: - limited range (minor) - a LOT of background noise - slow to pick up and dial calls it has an OK battery life. now, i'm comparing these with the best functioning bluetooth i've ever owned - the Logitech Freedom, which people cant even tell if i'm outside walking around in windy san francisco. anyway, i didnt realize how much this bluetooth was lacking in functionaility until friends would complain about the background noise, and i'd notice myself asking "what?" a lot. A LOT. frustrating. so when i finally caved and bought the jawbone ii, i was surprised how there was no lag between pressing the "answer" button and actually being connected. the jabra had something like a 2 second delay. i'm not exaggerating. when it connects, i can hear people on the other line saying "hello? hello?" i just got used to it. anyway, i dont want to turn this into a hating review, but the jawbone is at least 10x better. sorry jabra. it IS comfortable though.

I love this little Bluetooth headset. It is the second one I've owned and wanted a second one as a backup. This one is version 2 of the headset that Jabra has come out with, and it is really good.

I have an older version of this bluetooth that I still use and that is why I ordered another one when I was issued a company phone. I like it because I don't have to use the piece that hooks onto the ear because I can't seem to get those things to work right and its always interfering with my sunglasses. The ear pieces fits into my ear perfectly and stays there. Its so comfortable I forget its there. Its not big or bulky and I like the discreet quality.clarity and reception is great too! Amazon has the best prices! |
