5.0 out of 5 stars Works with Jawbone Icon
I rarely review items but I thought I would take the time to let people know that these eargels work with the Jawbone Icon Rogue (I strongly suspect that these work with all of the Jawbone Icon series headsets - I expect they have the same earpiece - but since I only have the Rogue I can only make definitive statements about it).

When I was researching these...

2.0 out of 5 stars it's over-hyped
I read many reviews before deciding to give these a try. And after trying it out, I think this jabra ear gel is just way over-hyped. It's not as soft as everybody claims. It's not shaped so well to snuck in my ears, none of the three sizes.... Maybe my ears are just too weird shaped? I don't know. I just like the regular in-ear silicon type of plugs much better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works with Jawbone Icon, June 14, 2010

This review is from: Jabra C120 Small Medium Large 2 Sets Ear Gels 4 Jawbone (Electronics)

When I was researching these eargels, it wasn't clear at all that they would work with the Icon, but I decided to order them anyway. I am glad I did.

I was about to give up on my Jawbone and send it back. Other people could hear ME very well on it - the noise cancelling is really great - but the fit of the headset in my ear was horrible and, for my ear shape, the ear loop didn't work at all (it pulled the headset up and away from my ear). The result was that though people could hear me fine, I could barely hear them at all, even at full volume, because the headset was always tilted away from my ear canal, either because the loop was pulling it at a funny angle or, when I didn't use the loop, because the headset was always in the process of falling out of my ear.

To use these eargels, you have to first put the smallest rubber thing that comes with the Icon on the Icon, then put these gels on top of that. (By "smallest rubber thing" I mean the smallest one that is a simple rubber circle - not the one that is two rubber circles joined together.)

When I took these out of the package and tried them in my ear, I quickly found one that fit my ear almost perfectly. Now I can hear the other side of the conversation, and for the first time I have an ear piece that lets me not use a loop - I can shake my head around, tilt it, etc. and the headset does not budge.

Two things to note: These gels are dramatically different shapes and sizes. I found one that fit my ear perfectly, but others did not fit my ear at all, which is a testament to how different we all are. I can't say whether you will find a fit or not, but I did. Second, after I use this for a while (an hour or more) it starts to hurt my ear. The pain isn't bad enough for me to not use these gels or to keep me from giving them a 5 star rating - I intend to keep using them long term - but the pain is noticeable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for any ear-bud headsets! Espec the Apple iPhone set., July 10, 2009

I have been using Jabra EarGels on my Apple iPod headphones since 2005. In fact, it's to the point now that I can't stand any ear-bud style headphones without the EarGels on them. They are secure, compfortable, provide better sound projection, and mobility than standard ear-bud headphones. I highly recommend these items. Especially with the new Apple iPhone 3Gs and it's voice capability. The 'phones that come with the 3Gs are functionally useful except that they don't stay in most human's ears. Instead of dropping $70 on the Apple in-ear headphones, spend the $7 on these EarGels and be in heaven.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent eargels with great fit!, October 18, 2009

The Jabra eargels work EXCELENTLY with my Jawbone Prime. They required that the smallest standard Jawbone eargel be mounted first over which the Jabra eargel fits. Snug, perfect, comfortable, secure fit in the ear and no need to use an earloop! The Jabra eargels are what Aliph should have included with the Jawbone from the factory. Nice. Very nice!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal solution for Aliph Jawbone Prime, February 3, 2010

I was one of those people who could not find a comfortable fit for the Aliph Jawbone Prime bluetooth headset. I was almost ready to get rid of the darn thing, even though I really liked its overall functionality. Then I heard about these eargels. They fit the Prime, and I found a size that works great - I don't even need the ear loop for it. Terrific! If you are having trouble with your Jawbone fit -- try these!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for iPhone or iPod users who hate the earbuds, February 5, 2010

There are 2 pairs each of the small, medium and large sizes. The earbuds fit tight inside the holes and they sound way better than they did because of the way the Jabra channels the sound into your ear canal. Very pleased with them as the stupid Apple earbuds would always fall out. Now I can use the iPhone earbuds because of the mic and the click technology.

I have a BT530 and the orignal earbuds wore out way too quickly. Fit is great and I have been wearing the same gel for months. Just keep cleaning. First one to fit my ear without moving or leaving my inner ear sore at the end of the day. Glad I gave it a try.

These worked like stated although i did have a little trouble with them fitting certain types of earphones. These are definitely made for a specific style but i was able to make them work well for me. I love the way these hold in my ears, no slippage what so ever. stay where you put them and help tunnel the sound where it needs to go. I have used these eargels in the past and that's why i went looking for them. different sizes help to fit in different ears. would def buy again.

I always seem to really hate the earbuds that actually come with the blue tooth units. These are a great replacement!
