Install time was less than 5 minutes. The new locking feature is well worth the price of pump replacement and works great. No more holding tank backing up into the bowl. When compared with the price of replacing the various gaskets and seals to rebuild your existing pump, this is a no brainer. Get it now.

July 2011 update: Seems the seals on this work no better than previous models. After 2 years I again have the holding tank backing up into to the bowl. So, I replaced the joker valve and the bottom flapper at a cost of $36. For just a few $$ more I could have replace the entire pump and had all new seals and O-rings. My advice is to just plan on replacing the the pump every 2 years since it is less expensive to do that than to replace all the seals. Too bad Jabsco couldn't create a product that truly locks.

You should keep one of these on board in case your old head pump fails. A very easy swap and fits all years of Jabsco heads. Rebuilding your old pump may cost almost as much and will take a whole lot more time...

This is an excellent replacement/upgrade to the earlier pump assembly and is easy to install. All necessary parts are included, and instructions were clear and concise. The new lock down feature is excellent especially for the forward head on our boat.

This genuine replacement pump assembly upgrades a standard Jabsco to the later twist and lock version. It was priced very reasonably, delivered quickly and an easy installation. Starting bid on EBay for similar items were much higher, not to mention marine product stores.

If you are rebuilding the pump on your marine head do not by parts and tear the pump apart to replace them. This pump assembly updates your head to the new style head, the only difference is the pump. Also, you remove two hose connections to the old pump, four screws and this goes back on very easy.

I have dissassembled replaced parts and reassembled these pumps (more times than I wanted) over the years and this is the only way to go. If you check the price for a rebuild kit you will find little difference in price and this essentially gives you a new head. (almost). My 15 year old head is like new after replacing the pump.

This was a great fix for our toilet in our boat. I was so happy to have one that works again after having one that squirts water everywhere and once again, can't beat the price, good work Amazon!

I didnt know what I was getting into when I decided to tackle this project. But I was amazed how esay it was to install. The head works like a brand new toilet now.

Instead of rebuilding, I bought this complete new pump assembly for the Jabsco head. It is an exact replacement for what I had and works great. The unit comes with a new base gasket and joker valve. Quick and easy to install. Head is back to being 100%. I will rebuild the old one now and have it as a complete spare on the boat

I changed my old non locking pump with new locking and found it safer and the angled pump/handle was easier to use. It came with new flapper valve. Installation about 30 min. I was very pleased and recommend this product.

I replaced this manual pump assembly in July of 2011. The second or third time used, it would not pump , no suction Bowl was full of water), would not pump liquids or solids, the pump handle went Limp! Later in the week it started to work again! You cannot rely on this unit to work when you need it! I had the same problem several years ago with an early model , I thought that it would be re-designed by now, guess not!
