Poor shipping ruined the purchase experience
This product appears to be excellent (received from another source after a very frustrating experience with Amazon's drop shipping process). Details: 1) 1st order processed, goods sent by Fedex surface, damaged en transit and returned by Fedex to the shipper - never got as far as my destination. Amazon refunded the purchase and shipping cost charged to my credit...

This toilet may not last a long time, but you can't beat it for the price. Works well and it is nice and light for my race sailboat.

This product appears to be excellent (received from another source after a very frustrating experience with Amazon's drop shipping process). Details:
1) 1st order processed, goods sent by Fedex surface, damaged en transit and returned by Fedex to the shipper - never got as far as my destination. Amazon refunded the purchase and shipping cost charged to my credit card. 2) Amazon refused to re-ship this product since I had "returned" the item previously (1 above), and their policy is not to reship if a product was undeliverable on a previous order. 3) Entered a new order for the same item. Got a tracking number from Fedex, but when the goods did not arrive, Fedex investigated and said that the goods never left the shipping dock - even though the tracking number was generated. Nothing was returned to Amazon, so no credit was made back to my credit card that had been charged. 4) Upon complaining to Amazon, another shipment was generated with priority shipping by Fedex at no cost (courtesy of Amazon). This package arrived damaged - the bowl was broken in transit, was refused and returned to the shipper. Amazon credited me $ 0.00 since the shipment was a zero cost on their records (not taking into consideration the previous charge for the item that was never shipped) Wrote to customer service at Amazon explaining all of the above, no response, no credit....still waiting. Purchased this item elsewhere for $20 more, it arrived quickly, in good condition - sent UPS rather than Fedex. |
