I was floored by her voice, and moved by the lyrics of this touching album. I was happy to learn of the success of this bright young star, because it is so hard to get ahead in the Christian music world, but she has pulled it off. Strong points here are "God So Loved" "Speak For Me" and "You." This is a must have for Christian fans, and secular as well. A real gem.

Don't make up your mind about Jaci until you've heard this CD. Even if the music doesn't appeal to you, the well-delivered lyrics are amazing; very sincere and full of truth. The melodies are strong, each song can stand by itself, and before long you'll find yourself singing along. Personally I'd buy it just for the beautiful, "You." I don't own many popular Christian CD's, but whenever I feel I'm faltering in my walk with God this CD never fails to uplift and encourage me.

I bought this CD after a friend played it for me in her car. Her heart-felt vocals transcend you and you feel so close to God as you sing along. No matter where you are in your life these lyrics feel like they speak to you!! I get choked up everytime I listen to these songs, they are moving! Alot of the songs also have a catchy beat and melody that can be found on any top 40 hit. Enjoy....

This CD has got to be Jaci's (By far) best!!

1. God So Loved the World: Extremly good, Jaci's vocie floats over this song like a duck to water. The start is all shimery witch gives you chills in exitment. Then once your done listening to it, your like "WWOOOWW!!!" 5/5

2. Show You Love: Really up beat and gets you boogie'in! But sometimes it sounds like it's comeing from a "Non-christan" point a veiw witch is disapointing when someone asks if it's christan or not... 3/5

3. Little Voice: Ooo Jaci's voice is great and the background is really cool sounding! But it creeps me out so I don't listen to it much... 3/5

4. You: Very good, it shows a lot of the deeper love for God then some of the other ones do. You just got to sing along! 4/5

5. Look What Love Has Done: This one is alot like the first one musicly and lryicly. But this one is more dance music then slow pop. 4/5

6. Child of Mine (I Have Come): It took me two years to figure this soung out! It comes from God's point a veiw, not Jaci's. I totaly love the music, very up beat, kinda like "Made my world" 5/5

7. Speak for Me: One of Jaci's best that is never noticed, unfortunetly. It really means a lot to me, the words are tutching and deep. Buy this CD for this song alone and you'ed be happy! 5/5

8. Glory: At first I did'nt like this song, but know I really like it! Very good song when it's raining or when you feel sad so this song can raise you spirt! 5/5

9. Sweet Surrender: This song could be deeper, but it also better not being deep cuz I think Jaci is trying to get the point across. Like in the title of this song it sounds very Sweet, lovely song! 5/5

10. Paper Tigers: One of my very favorites! Just the best, well other then "God so loved", it has a great massage to say! you'll get hoked on this one!!! 5/5

11. Made My World: I love the start, just the way it sounds. Very, very up beat. But it's hard to follow and dos'nt make much sense. 3/5

In all, her best CD yet and her vocie is incredible in this one!! A MUST buy :D

This eponymous CD is Jaci Velasquez's sophomore effort, and my favourite of all her CDs to date. Oh, I love the natural looking, stunning cover photo too!

Featuring Toby Mac and Tait of DC Talk on some of the tracks, it featured a slightly edgier sound from her debut, and deeply personal lyrics about vulnerability and dependence on God.

Opening track is the tender ballad `God so loved', here in an English and Spanish version (`Al mundo Dios amó').

Then comes the rocker `Show you love' featuring Tait on harmonizing vocals. This song really kicks.

`Little voice inside' is an epic, dramatic, acoustic/string laden ballad co penned by Toby Mac, as is `Speak for me' which is a song asking to be used as God's mouth piece. Both songs are brilliant!

'You' is a beautiful tender ballad extolling the virtues of God.

'Look what love has done' is a power ballad in the style of Celine Dion. 'Glory' is Jaci's trademark sunny, upbeat pop sound.

`Child of mine' is my absolute favourite track. A very edgy, rocky track, in the style of Jennifer Knapp. Sung from the view point of God, it tells us we are His child. Awesome!

The pair of `Sweet surrender' and `Paper tigers' are brooding, psychedelic-sounding ballads sung in a smoky lower register.

`Made my world' is another upbeat rocker, similar to `Show you love'.

An excellent follow up. 4 and a half stars!

This is one of her earliest work and it truly wonderful, inspiering,
worship CD who will lift your heart even on one of those days where nothing seems to make sence it reminds us there is some one who love us and it constatly watching over us. Our Heavenly Father gives gift to some of us to be shared and I belive Jaci is one of those people
the Lord uses to help us on our daily walk with him. Great CD!

Jaci Velasquez is the embodiment of grace and beauty. The Holy Spirit is definitely speaking through her voice. "Speak to Me" is the best track. Buy the CD and let the Spirit speak to you.

This young woman is an extremely talented singer. She is also very charming and attractive. After seeing her in Chasing Papi, I admired her youthful vigor. And that beautiful black hair is stunning. She has a beautiful voice. The CD is produced well.

But...

But the sound is little different than every other female contemporary christian music singer. So if that's what you want, then fine

I was hoping that this young lady would bring the world something different. I thought perhaps that her Latin background would bring a new spice into the contemporary christian music scene. But instead, it was the other way around. The contemporary christian family friendly happy suburban American world has made its mark on her.
