I bought this for my three year old son. He is a huge fan of the story Jack and the Beanstalk and thought he might like the game. He was able to follow the rules and play the game very quickly. It is a good tool to teach counting, turn taking, and language development. You can also have the child recall story details while playing the game.

I got this for my niece's birthday (age 5). It is an awesome game as a first introduction to board games for young children. She LOVED saying "fee, fi, foe, fum" throughout the game. As a speech therapist, I have also used this game to work on the "F" sound while saying that phrase.

Very fun game. It is a challenge to get young kids to realize there is a winner and a loser. This is fun enough to play that they are learning that's OK.
