The stories employ frequently used words and familiar vocabulary to help young independent readers enjoy these much loved tales. Extra spacing between the lines along with short sections of text will appeal to the readers and lead them into the rich illustrations depicting beautiful princesses, handsome princes, and ugly monsters. Each book tells the complete fairy tale allowing children to know the traditional story in an easy-to-understand manner. These books would be a nice addition to a fairy tale unit or a good read-aloud for younger students. --Library Media Connection, November 1, 2008
