5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, but... 'cooling gel' ???.....
I use this aftershave gel after every shave, I love it, it works great. Its light, not overly greasy or sticky, so you can even use it as an everyday facial mosturizer. Post shave, this aftershave gel does a great job at soothing the skin and relieving the redness as well as preventing any razor burn and bumps. However, as far as the claim on the bottle of it being a...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the premium price
I bought this online despite its high price point because it advertises natural ingredients and some reviews state you don't need a lot of it for each application.
My own experience is that you need more like a dime sphere than coin to have enough to spread after shaving. Even then, my skin still feels irritated and not smoothed much.
Looking closer at the...

However, as far as the claim on the bottle of it being a 'cooling gel', well.... not really. So, would I recomend this product? Yes, it works great and its one of my favorite shave products. But if your looking for that ice cold chill feeling like in some other Nivea or Gillette products, then youll probably be let down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Been using for 4 years. Nothing Better., October 20, 2010
This review is from: Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel 3.3 oz (Health and Beauty)
I noticed immediately when I started using this Post Shave Gel the difference between regular drug store brands like Gillette and others to Jack Black. This product is great and a little bit goes a long way. I use it every day after I shave and even on the days when I don't shave. It works great to keep skin moisturized and not feel "tight" like it would without using a face product after showering. I can seriously get this stuff to last up to four or five months without getting a new bottle. A pea size dot in your palm is all you need to cover your face. I have used this for 4 years now and will never switch. EVER.

Nice, soothing and fragrance free aftershave gel. It is a gel and not a lotion so there is no oily residue. A little goes a long way, dime size squeeze is all you need

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best and I think I've tried them all, September 20, 2011
This review is from: Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel 3.3 oz (Health and Beauty)
I've been shaving with a double-edge Safety razor and brush with high-end cream for over 6 years now. This old fashioned regiment was something I switched to in order to not have my neck look like ground hamburger after shaving. This after-shave is the only one I've found, for the inexpensive price, that actually soothes my incredibly sensitive skin. It feels good and gets rid of redness. As others have said, a small amount is all it takes. I've tried some really high-end products (think 65+ dollars for the same amount of product) that almost equal it but none surpass it. To the negative reviewers I can only say that everyone's skin is different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jack Black Post Shave, September 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel 3.3 oz (Health and Beauty)
This is the only post shave I will use. This is the first time I have found it offered through Amazon Prime and when I did I immediately ordered more. If this is regularly available through Amazon Prime I will buy it every time I need a new supply. If you have not tried this give it a try just once. It is hard to articulate how this stuff feels. I would not say there is a sensation of cooling but there is a very nice feel to putting it on after a shave. It takes very little. I believe the recommendation is dime sized. I never use more than that and find adequate coverage. Once I have applied it I never feel as though I have anything heavy on. It just seems right. I say definitely try this once if you are taking a look at this.

Good luck!

Robert

Looking closer at the ingredient list on the bottle, you also find a whole lot more than the 3 advertised "natural ingredients", the 2nd ingredient being PEG-8...
Overall, it's quite expensive and not nearly as "natural" as marketed, so not worth the price imho.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent moisturizer, but not "cooling" at all., June 17, 2011

This is a fantastic aftershave in the sense it doesn't leave your skin raw and dry. It is one of the better moisturizers and you only need a small quantity to cover the whole face.

The downside, is, of course, there is no "cooling" sensation, so I don't get that claim. Alas, the product works well otherwise, so it isn't that big a deal.
