Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I am stunned at the positive reviews. This product is mostly water and denatured alcohol. The water won't do any harm, but the denatured alcohol will. Study after study shows that this ingredient is hard on skin. But people seem to believe the brand name and think they "get what they pay for." I could not find a list of ingredients before I ordered, but I did notice that the price was high -- almost a dollar for each pad. I read the claims "high potency pads provide immediate de-aging and skin benefits in one easy step. Formulated with a proprietary blend of alpha and beta hydroxy acids, antioxidants and Niacinamide" these "pads exfoliate skin to improve tone, texture, clarity and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots." Wow! Sounded good to me so I [UNWISELY] trusted the advertising with too little information.

When I received the product, I read on the side of the box "INGREDIENTS: Aqua (Water), Alcohol Denat., Butylene Glycol, Glycolic Acid (3%), Niacinamide (vitamin B3, 2%), Salicylic Acid (.5%) ..." and 30 additional ingredients included in minuscule amounts. The first two ingredients are about the cheapest you can find: water and denatured alcohol. The third ingredient, butylene glycol, is a slip agent and unremarkable in most every way. These first three ingredients probably constitute 65% to 80% of the whole, perhaps more. The fourth, glycolic acid, is included at only 3% whereas in many if not most at-home peel-type products it is included at concentrations around 10% and even higher. In doctor's offices, glycolic acid peels are often 20% to 70%. Niacinamide is a nice ingredient, but available in other skin products at a much lower price point, as is salicylic acid, which is quite common.

I have used these for quite a while now on average 2 - 3 times a week. I love this product and can honestly say they have worked for me. No, you can't use them for 5 days as another reviewer complained, and expect a miracle. Those kind of reviews always slay me. However, with consistent use these DIY pads will gradually work as advertised. And no, you can't expect them to remove 20 years of wear and tear to your face. However, if you are serious about skin care and using every advantage to slow down the aging process a little bit, then these are a good place to start. A bit pricey, but highly recommended to anyone willing to put in the time and a few $$ to give Mother Nature the finger. Forty pads last me 90 to 120 days depending on how frequently I use them.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I ordered this for my husband and he’s been using these resurfacing pads for about a month and a half now. It suggests cleaning your face before using and it does have a warning that it will make you more sensitive to the sun. My husband has had melanoma so he has been using it before bedtime two to three nights a week. He said he likes the way it smells and feels when using. Some facial products have that alcohol smell that burns the nose and eyes but this did not. He said his face did feel tacky when he was finished but that it wasn’t s problem since it was right before bedtime. He doesn’t think these pads have made a difference in the last month and a half and doesn’t plan on purchasing more after he finishes the last of the container.

Using this product for the past three weeks, I found this 'Power Peel' to not have too much power. My skin is user used to skin care routines and is a bit more resistant. These pads are heavily laced with alcohol. I find these pads are great in keeping acne under control but as far as to diminish dark spots and even out skin tone as a 'Resurfacing Pad' is supposed to do, it did not happen here.
I am not sure if the lack of results has to do with the fact that I am African American and therefore the melanin in my skin is higher than what these pads are made for. In summary, these pads are great to help reduce acne, but for skin that is accustomed to treatments and for skin of darker tones, not much power in these pads.

As a guy I was looking for an at home peel that I could do secretly to clear away some wear and tear on my face. Hey, we don't get to wear makeup right (not that I would want to). I paid $38 for this product and have seen minimal results after about three weeks of consistent use, but I've been using a Pro-active knock off during that time as well so it's hard to say which is really doing the work. I might order this again but really only as a simple, convenient solution to long term face maintenance. Don't expect any miracles because this product will not deliver. I won't even recommend the product, I would go for an off brand because here we're just paying for the Jack Black label.

I use this two times a week after using their facial wash and then apply their mosterizer and eye balm on my skin before bed.

You can feel this tingle when you first start to use it. It works like a face mask but is made for men and you aren't stuck with the mess. I can feel a difference in my face since I started to use it. It doesn't make your face break out, has a decent smell and I can tell my skin is tighter in the face.

Highly recomend this for guys who are concerned about aging facial skin
