What do you get when you take the dreamings of H.P. Lovecraft, the legends of Mother Goose and Jack, a bit of pirates and mermaids, a lovable hippy and an evil wraith, and weave them all together into a fresh new world like Tolkein did? The first book in the Tales of Jack! I was privileged to acquire one of the first copies of Jack in the Dreamlands, and although I mainly read hard science fiction, this is one fantasy novel I just couldn't put down!
