The great thing about Jack Nicklaus is that not only was he a great player, he was a great speaker as well. I like his teaching style a lot, and so I really enjoyed his lessons here. The video quality is as expected, from the 80's, but it's not detracting at all - I was actually quite surprised that the sound quality is so good for the time and way it was recorded. Somebody did a great job of preserving the recordings well.
The lessons are, timeless, from THE absolute master of the game, the best player in the history the game, bar none. Nobody will ever come close to this man when it comes to golf. The lessons on here are spot on, he shows you the essentials of how he played the game and what made him such a great ballstriker, HIS WAY. But his ways are quite basic and he puts it out there in simple ways that will not intimidate you, but in fact makes it seem so easy to copy. He knows he had his own quirks, and he makes it OK if you have it too. You can learn a lot. I'll be using this over and over to remind myself the key points in my swing that helps me be a better player.

I have taught many people the game of golf and this is my go-to video for them. This easy-to-understand video takes you through every aspect of the basic game and teaches you correctly, the first time. Jack Nicklaus' common sense approach to the game is easy to grasp and easy to apply. For the regular golfer, applying these simply basics will take 10 strokes off your game...no kidding. If you struggle with your current game or whether you're a beginner, Golf My Way will make you a much better golfer.

I really enjoyed reading Mr. Nicklaus's "Golf My Wy" book, so I thought this DVD would be a great addition as a resource. Mr. Nicklaus goes over many of the items in his book, in this DVD. I got this DVD for free, through a healthy living rewards program my employer uses (I converted my points in an Amazon gift card). If it wasn't free, I would have been a little more unhappy with my purchase based on the price.

For the type of person who can't really visualize what Mr. Nicklaus explains in the book, the DVD would be great and may help clarify anything you read in the book.

For someone who is able to visualize what is already in the book, save your money, unless the price goes down!

An alternative to this DVD, which is a little more modern and provides a few more points of view, would be Tom Watson's Lessons of a Lifetime. I have that DVD too, and I think it provides a little more bang for the buck, but still expensive.

Of all the professional golfers whose lessons I value, Jack Nicklaus ranks #1. I like his swing and style, even more than Tiger Woods and other more recent golfers. His VHS lessons were priceless, and I am overjoyed that I can have them on DVD.

Highly recommended. Buy it. You won't regret it.

I found the instructions to contain a lot of good information and it can be put into your game. Where else can you receive instruction from the best to ever play the game.

It is always a pleasure to watch a young Nicklaus playing. For beginners, this DVD is good, in order to understand the mechanics of golf. However it is too basic and he makes look everything so easy when it is not, which can lead into troubles for the inexperienced. There are a few tips that can help your golf indeed, but does not worth paying for this. There are better sources - free - in internet. In the other hand, the visual resources are very - very poor, which perhaps in understandable since this was recorded in the 80's (hey, that is 30 years ago...!). Instead, buy the Tom Watson's DVD, which is way better in quality, visual resources with different cameras and approaches, as well as very and well detailed explanations
