How bad was this purchase? Let me count the way. First the box was falling apart when we got it. Not sure whose fault that was.

But that was the best part of the chair. Once we opened the package it got worse. There was a chunk missing out of the back of the chair we gorrila glued back.

Then the 'fun' started when we tried to assemble it. The arm rest simply would not fit. And when we tried to lossen screws 2 of them stripped right away. We then looked at other screws and at least 3 more were stripped before even using. They were the worse screws we had ever seen on an assemble at home piece of furniture.

We are 'veteran' IKEA assemblers and we have never not been able to put something together. This piece is EXTREMELY ill-made. Stay away...poor quality through and through.

This is a great chair for the price. I bought 2 to replace old poly resin ones. I was worried that the shipping weight was listed at 10 pounds,but that was a typo. it was closer to 50 pounds each. they are easy to assemble (first one took about 15 minutes). they seem really sturdy for the price. maybe not as good as all those pricey ones but heck even at full price I think it's a good deal. highly recommend. in fact as soon as I got the first one together I ordered 2 more

We bought these for our beach home. We really just wanted something inexpensive and somewhat temporary. Well, we got both! They are cheap and they are temporary! Both ottomans have already broken and the color is already rubbing off.

They arrived missing some screws and one slat of the ottoman had a crack in it. I guess I should've just sent them back, but I figured we got what we paid for.

I only rate them a 2 because the chairs themselves are okay ... other than the paint rubbing off.

Bottom line: Spend a little more and get something you won't have to replace in 3-6 months.
