I purchased two chairs and the glider bench for our front porch. They all exceed my expectations! The chair nicely sized and feels very sturdy. I was worried that they would be too oversized; they are perfect. I was able to put it together myself, but it took awhile. My advice when putting it together - read each section of the instructions twice BEFORE you start on that section of assembly. They are very good instructions and mandatory for a good assembly. The chair bench and back assembly to the frame was a little tricky to assemble. If I had a second set of hands, it would have been easier. I did not put a finish on the wood, just cleaned the slats before I assembled them. I've had them a couple of months and they are aging nicely.

I recently order two of these chairs. First, they arrived but the boxes were torn and parts of the chair were exposed. Second, the first one was hard to put together. Once we got the hang of it, the second chair went together very fast. Great chair, just awkward to move around. They need to deal with the shipping issue.

I first tried these at a friends house and fell in love. I couldn't find them at any of the local stores. They're very practical. There are no rockers to pinch little toes with. The side try is very useful for drinks and such, and stays stationary while you glide. Very happy with the product although, the free super shipping was rough on the chairs. By the time they got to us they had several holes in the boxes and had been badly handled. Aside from a few scratches the chairs were intact.

I purchased 4 of these chairs for my front porch. Usually, I like to see things in real life before making a purchase but the reviews here were good enough for me.

The instructions were the most explicit that I have ever used in putting something together and the illustrated assembly procedures were large enough that the different pieces could be easily seen. The instructions even tell which bag of bolts/nuts/bushings to open in sequence.

When the boxes were delivered, I was not optimistic that everything would go so smoothly. The boxes themselves looked like they had been dragged down the road for a mile, but inside, I found everything to be just fine. No dents, scratches, or missing parts. Every single bolt and nut was there.

The seat itself is the trickiest to assemble - I found that using a screwdriver to align the holes with the little plastic piece made that job much easier.

The appearance is fine - they are sturdy and the side trays are just right. They are comfortable to sit in, and the gliding motion is very smooth, quiet, and restful - no squeaks at all.

To sum it up, I am well pleased with these chairs - they sit under a covered porch so I have decided not to apply additional stain (at this time) to the wood.

I had shopped for a glider chair for some time but demensions were a problem. This Jack Post glider chair just fit the bill. It was relatively easy to put together and looks great. I"ll get some cushions and it will be perfect.

I'm enjoying my chair! It is just the touch I needed for my front deck and is great for resting under the pines. If you order this chair you may want to also have an assortment of nuts and bolts on hand because I had to find a few of my own to put the chair together (but then this is common experience for me).

The Jack Post Glider Chair is exactly what I wanted. Directions were clear and easy to follow. Do not tighten any bolts till the chair is together, that's important. The only problem I had was missing parts which were sent to me without question.

This chair would be great if there was support for the front of the chair. What happens if you lean to the side to pick something up off of the ground, the leg collapses. Once that happens, there is nothing but problems. All they need to do is put a support on the front like on the back. We are currently looking for a new glider because of this. If they would fix the problem, we would buy the glider.
