4.0 out of 5 stars Just to Set the Record Straight
Nearly all of De Danann's releases are top shelf, and "A Jacket of Batteries" is no exception. I couldn't sit and watch a great album get two stars for a few unthoughtful reviews. This is an album with lively jigs, reels, waltzes, and songs. They always throw one inventive rendition of a pop song in: here it's Eleanor Rigby. Anyway, if you value traditional Irish music,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Purchased for One Track, Two Worth While
I purchased this for the song, "Mountains of Pomeroy," a soft, thoughtful instrumental. This CD introduced me to vocalist Eleanor Shanley and another song I fell in love with, "The Call and the Answer." The other songs kind of run together after awhile. Other than the two afore mentioned songs, I would not recommend this as being De Danann's best work.

1.0 out of 5 stars Restless Leg Syndrom, January 11, 2008
This review is from: Jacket of Batteries (Audio CD)
Another CD from the folks with Restless Leg Syndrom. I had this one and gave it away. It's hard to like a platter with one good song on it, imho
