Jackie Chan is now a cartoon character in his very own television series, battling to obtain the 12 magic talismans, each containing its very own power. He and his Uncle get a visit from Jackie's niece - Jade - and+ that's when Jackie finds out about Section 13 and the magic talismans which the Dark Hand are trying to retrieve to free the trapped Dragon, Shendu, from his prison of stone, so he will give them the lost treasure of Shen Che Hun. Chan Adventures was nominated for three awards at the Emmy Awards for 2001 and 2002. The series was nominated for the 2001 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by Robert Duran (supervising sound editor), and Roshaun Hawley (dialogue editor/adr editor). Nominated for the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by the same crew members as last year, and for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing - Special Class. Fil Brown (re-recording mixer), Dan Cubert (re-recording mixer), Melissa Gentry-Ellis (re-recording mixer) accepted the award while Jackie Chan obtained the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program

I rated one star not for the show itself, but for this DVD and the few others that were released. These DVDs are missing a few minutes, often the teasers before the theme song comes on. I am also befuddled at the lack of a complete season or series set of this wonderful series. It would be so awesome if a series boxed set was released, with each and every minute of the show accounted for, and the Ask Jackie bits as well. I'm not sure why the quality of these DVDs are so poor, or why only a few were ever released.

I love this cartoon!!
I would give a higher rating than 3 stars if they would come out with the rest of the series on dvd.
You can get the entire run of season 1 on vhs!!
Why not on dvd!!
Pick up the pace Sony!!

Jackie Chan the worlds most favorite action star is now a cartoon? Well jackie is as good as a cartoon as an action star. In this version of Jackie Chan Adventures he and his neace jade are trying to find some more of the talismans. But the Dark hand is always trying to stop them. This Dvd has two half-hour packed action shows on it.
